Are you passionate about growing people, driving technical excellence, and building software teams that own what they build? In this role, you’ll lead skilled engineers who deliver digital solutions that power the LEGO Group’s global engineering and manufacturing operations, from early design to the factory floor.
We’re on a mission to bring Industry 4.0 technologies to life, and you’ll be at the heart of that transformation — setting direction, growing talent, and creating systems that scale.
Core responsibilities
-
Lead a team of Software Engineers — coach, mentor, and support their growth
-
Promote a learning and sharing culture — encourage curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement across teams
-
Champion DevSecOps and technical excellence — embed quality, automation, and secure-by-design thinking in everything we build
-
Foster strong engineering practices — advocate for “you build it, you run it” and agile ways of working
-
Help shape our team and strategy — bring your voice to the senior leadership table and help set direction across Product Engineering Technology
-
Grow a diverse and inclusive team — attract talent and create a place where everyone can thrive
-
Motivate change in a dynamic environment — lead with flexibility, empathy, and a clear focus on impact
Play your part in our team succeeding
You’ll join Product Engineer Technology (PET) — part of the Digital Technology organisation — where we build digital tools for the Engineering area of the LEGO Group. From designing elements and moulds to planning, quality, and factory production, our teams develop end-to-end solutions that support every step of the journey.
That includes platforms for master data, project portfolio management, materials, and sustainability — all built to scale globally.
In this role, you’ll manage a team of 6–12 engineers, helping them grow while contributing to the overall strategy and leadership of the PET area. It’s a chance to make a meaningful impact on our digital future, while developing yourself and those around you.
Do you have what it takes?
-
Strong leadership experience from managing engineering teams and contributing at a senior level
-
Excellent communication, coaching, and mentoring skills
-
A deep understanding of modern software development practices — from agile methods to CI/CD, test-driven development, and secure coding
-
A passion for helping engineers grow - technically and expertly
-
Ability to build trusted relationships with collaborators and multi-functional partners
-
Technical credibility — able to spar constructively with everyone from junior engineers to directors
-
A curious attitude and desire to challenge the status quo
-
Proficient in engaging with different teams or domains, with the ability to lead through influence as well as structure
