About The Role
The Senior Manager, Engineering plans and directs all aspects of development activities within their teams ensuring all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with the organization's established policies and objectives. Works closely with R&D Leadership, Product Management and the Security Services(S2) to ensure their teams are building what our customers and users need in a timely fashion. Senior Managers have a large scope of leadership and can have multiple managers and/or leads reporting to them. Senior Managers can also have specialized subject matter expertise within the technical areas their teams work in.
Responsibilities
Generates and manages day to day work for Tools & Systems teams. Establishes priorities and ensures delivery of labs and all development related non-cloud service delivery. Is also a key contributor to longer term planning and strategy with their Senior Director. Execution of process and accountable for the outcome of the R&D team. Manage teams that will deliver high quality, innovative hardware and solutions, in collaboration with stakeholders such as architects, developers, product managers, CSEs and prod support people. Support the team by providing direction, clarity and removing obstacles. Instill Foundations of R&D in their teams by living them on a daily basis.
Execute the Product roadmap
Ensure teams are highly motivated, performing well, and delivering work on time.
Remove any blockers preventing teams from getting their work done.
Make sure each team is clear on the objectives and goals they are striving to achieve.
Work with team members to deliver the key features
Work with Architects and engineers fulfilling Technical Product Manager roles to define and execute on the company's technical roadmap.
Drives continuous improvement in engineering processes and champions adoption of secure coding standards.
A strong Candidate will be familiar with both IT practices and Software engineering practices, as this role bridges the two.
Implement the R&D Department and Team Responsibilities.
Oversee the full software development life cycle.
Enable to the deployment of hardware and off the shelf software in support of Testing, Integrations development and niche production use cases.

About You
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
6 years’ experience in software development or Information Technology, ideally both or Master’s degree + 2 years’ experience in software development management, engineering leadership, or related role.

The base salary range for this job family is 110,400 to 246,000 CAD annually. This range reflects the base pay the company reasonably expects to offer for this position, aligned to the broader job family base pay structure. Actual base pay may vary based on skills, experience, and location, including job family level. In addition to base pay, Arctic Wolf offers variable incentive compensation, new hire equity grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
