Senior Engineering Manager, SRE and Infrastructure Services
We have an opportunity for a Senior Manager, Engineering - SRE and Infrastructure Services to join our SRE and Infrastructure Services team in Seattle-Tacoma, WA reporting to the Sr. Director of Engineering. In this pivotal role, you will work with SRE engineers, DevOps engineers, and application engineers to ensure Infoblox’s platform and infrastructures provides a uniform, reliable, and sustainable service medium for existing and new applications. You will use modern Agile practices to ensure your team can act quickly while incorporating feedback from Product Management, Support, Sales, and other internal stakeholders.
Be a Contributor — What You’ll Do
- Manage and mentor team members into growth opportunities with a lead-by-example approach
- Lead a scrum team of SRE and DevOps and engineers
- Deliver SRE and DevOps platform components within a larger release train, balancing delivery time and quality
- Collaborate with the Architecture team on projects using a combination of COTS and homegrown solutions
- Recruit and grow the team as necessary, while fostering transparency, collaboration, and trust across geographically distributed areas
- Drive innovation and continual improvement in the technologies implemented and the processes used to deliver them
- Promote the importance of building resilient and self-scaling systems that minimize customer impacts, while providing a healthy work environment for operators
Be Prepared — What You Bring
- 8 or more years of software engineering experience
- 5 or more years of software development management experience in Agile, SRE, and DevOps environments
- Hands-on experience with the full software development lifecycle for enterprise SaaS products
- Hands-on experience with cloud architecture and deploying cloud infrastructure
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, including EC2, VPC, ELB, S3, CloudFormation, etc.
- Experience with CI/CD tools in a cloud environment, including Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Spinnaker, etc.
- Experience developing with C, Python, Java, and/or Go
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as APM, Splunk, PagerDuty, and Grafana preferred
- Solid networking experience, including TCP/IP, routing, load balancing, and DNS

- Work with other leaders in the organization to further improve corporate processes
- Serve as a stakeholder for both short and long-term SRE / DevOps initiatives
