Senior Manager – Employee Relations
What can you expect?
This position is for a professional individual contributor in Employee Relations who works independently with minimal supervision. The ER Specialist assists and works closely with ER Leaders on the creation and continuous development of country colleague guides, offer document templates and all other HR documents including scripts, letter templates, process documents, and guidance material. This position is responsible for document handling on a regional scale, which will include collation of documents on a regional basis, and comparing templates across businesses with an aim to driving consistency where possible. The ER Specialist serves as a crucial liaison point for HR Managers, People Partners and other HR COEs, including TA and HRS, on template and document version control.
Your key role will be to:
- Design, implement and monitor human capital programs and policies including total rewards, talent management and talent acquisition
- Anticipate and plan for long-term people-related needs and trends.
- Ensure current employees have the necessary skills for future requirements
- Maintains HR information systems
- Assist and work closely with ER Leaders on the creation and continuous development of country colleague guides, offer document templates and all other HR documents including scripts, letter templates, process documents, and guidance material.
- Handle documents on a regional scale, which will include collation of documents on a regional basis, and comparing templates across businesses with an aim to driving consistency where possible.
- Serve as a crucial liaison point for HR Managers, People Partners and other HR COEs, including TA and HRS, on template and document version control.
We will count on you to:
- Develop, oversee and implement policies and procedures related to employee relations.
- Implement and clarify policies (e.g., leaves of absence, severance and pay plans) and ensure compliance with employment laws.
- Provide day-to-day support and advice to human resources teams and line management including terms and conditions of employment, employee counseling, grievances and disciplinary actions
- Perform standard government reporting as well as the production and distribution of affirmative action plans.
- Partners with TA, TA Ops, HRS, HRMs and PPs to ensure most up to date HR templates are being used
- Works with various internal stakeholders on HR projects requiring document management and ER input
- Partners with India ER Leader to develop training on specified ER topics and assists with delivering training to HR and managers
- Assist ER Leader with creation and continuous development of colleague guides to reflect statutory, policy and regulatory updates, including liaising with internal stakeholders to publish updated copies on Colleague Connect and SharePoint
- Assist in creation of HR documents including scripts for HR and managers, letter templates, Colleague Guides and other process documents as directed
- Carry out various document management tasks including updating Access database records, conversion of .pdf to word, redactions, and collation of evidence for tribunal matters
- Responsible for tracking ER work
What you need to have?
- Graduation / post-graduation in any stream
- Minimum 8 years’ experience with at least three years of previous HR experience; experience in employee relations a plus
- Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Strong editing skills
- Excellent Microsoft Office package skills
- Works independently with minimal supervision
- Works on projects/processes
- Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex
- Works with others within and outside of the job function regarding approach and procedures
