Your Job:  
The Senior Manager, eCommerce Merchandising, is an expert in digital commerce who is responsible for bringing our product to life online. You will be responsible for optimizing the customer’s discovery and selection of these products through optimized and personalized journeys. As part of the North America eCommerce team, you’ll lead a team of merchandisers to set strategies and roadmaps that ensure impactful execution of growth initiatives to achieve eCommerce goals. Blending the art and science of digital merchandising, you will balance our brand and merchandising vision with a data-driven mindset to optimize the customer's site experience, bringing key product initiatives to life through merchandising and compelling on-site marketing.
 
You should be a self-starter with immense curiosity and strong analytical skills as well as robust experience working with eCommerce platforms such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud. This is an ideal role for someone who wants to work as a high-impact contributor and lead a team of merchandisers in a highly collaborative and data conscious environment. In this role, you are directly contributing to the company’s success by identifying, crafting, and analyzing solutions to our site experience across site merchandising, personalization, product discovery, and revenue. Your work will help ensure that Brooks Running’s Digital customer experience illustrates the “why” to the runner, ultimately driving runner engagement, conversion 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and own a cohesive, on-brand digital merchandising experience that establishes a balance between data and curation to drive engagement, loyalty, and conversion.
  • Lead the merchandising strategy, including cross-merchandising, product recommendations, product setup, collection management, product content, product feature and benefit calls outs, product education, outfitting, product color-ups and SMUs, and seasonal product launches.   
  • Drive the online merchandising calendar for marketing campaigns, product stories, and promotions. Use customer journey maps, industry insights, channel marketing plans, and our integrated marketing calendar to ensure we produce seasonal experiences that inspire runners.
  • Pursue new and creative opportunities to drive sell-through and cross-category purchases through optimizations to product wayfinding and product presentation. Bring new ideas on stories to tell, technology to surface, and other opportunities to connect with the Brooks runner.
  • Develop merchandising and personalization best practices to drive increased units per order, average order value, and reduce friction in the online journey.
  • Manage the product lifecycle and provide insights to partners on key metrics such as inventory health and sell through trends so channels may react and optimize appropriately.
  • Lead the team to manage and optimize engaging, runner-focused digital content such as homepage, landing pages, runner centric articles, and more ensuring alignment with SEO strategies and brand content
  • Become a Brooks product expert to ensure accurate and optimal placement and marketing of products within categories, filters, navigation, and recommendations.
  • Partner closely with the Global, Digital and Integrated Marketing teams to align on the customer journey and execute against the editorial and campaign calendars. Collaborate with the Creative team on assets for eCommerce campaigns and product launches.
  • Partner with the Site Experience, Optimization and Digital Products teams to bring new runner-first merchandising functionality to our site. 
  • Collaborate with Product, Demand and Supply planning teams to drive assortment recommendations, MRA’s/SMU’s, as well as style count, and depth for preseason purchasing.
  • Establish metrics of success and monitoring across user experience for personalization, site merchandising and product discovery. Report on product insights based on customer behavior, inventory, conversion, sell through and market trends. Use these insights to drive merchandising decisions.
  • Exhibits initiative to look beyond the everyday business to look for opportunities to maximize sales potential.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team that collaborates, communicates, performs at high levels, learns something new every day, and challenges the norm.  
  • Other responsibilities as required.  

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing, or equivalent experience required.
  • 10+ years of experience executing online customer experiences, with preference for sports or outdoor brands driving online revenue.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience with strong aptitude for developing a team of merchandisers.
  • 3+ years of robust experience working with eCommerce platforms, such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud (formerly Demandware).
  • Curious mindset with the ability to move ideas into reality. Ability to create a vision, define new ways of thinking, create new roadmaps and concepts, navigate ambiguity, define, and execute test/learn scenarios and influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to run independent analyses and access data. Proactively seeks creative solutions to achieve better runner experience on brooksrunning.com.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong aptitude to learn technical applications quickly. 
  • Experience with analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics, Power BI and/or Tableau a plus.
  • Experience with JIRA, Smartsheet, and other project management tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills - you can use verbal and written communication to express ideas clearly, and succinctly, including slide composition. 
  • Able to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines. Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities.
  • Strong runner focus/ability to anticipate and react to runner needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams to achieve necessary results.
  • Ability to understand and empathize with the runner to develop loyal, engaging relationships with our customers and the Brooks community.

Compensation: 
The pay range for this position, based out of the Brooks Seattle HQ, is 124,186 - 198,739 per year. Base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Bonus-in addition to base pay, Brooks employees may also be offered an annual bonus based on company performance.

Location- You will spend 3 days per week in our Seattle offices, as we believe our organization flourishes when connections, collaboration, creativity, problem-solving, and celebrations happen in person.
