Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Duals Product Strategy works closely with the Director, Product Strategy to contribute to the development and execution of product strategy for Point32Health’s Dual Eligible Line of Business, within the Government Markets division. The Senior Manager is responsible for identifying and implementing strategic initiatives for Point32Health’s dual eligible products, which currently include the Tufts Health Plan Senior Care Options (FIDE SNP) and Tufts Health One Care (FIDE SNP). The Senior Manager, working closely with the Director of Product Strategy, leads the ongoing iteration and operationalization of product strategy to achieve the growth and performance goals established by the enterprise for the line of business. The Senior Manager is responsible for ensuring the strategy is successfully implemented internally, across a highly matrixed organization, and externally, with a broad set of stakeholders (e.g., providers, vendors, regulatory agencies, etc.).
The Senior Manager drives implementation of strategies by serving as the subject matter expert to the rest of the business with the support of the Manager of Product Performance and the Manager of Policy and Strategy. The Senior Manager works with colleagues in Marketing, Finance, Actuarial, Network Contracting, Clinical Services, Compliance, IT, and Operations to develop, implement and analyze the impact of initiatives. The Senior Manager is responsible for managing relationships with any strategic partners necessary to achieve the chosen strategy, and/or project managing the implementation of any material performance improvement initiatives. The Senior Manager is responsible for the ongoing performance tracking and improvement of the chosen strategy, including identifying key performance indicators.
Key elements of the product strategy include product design, care model, provider network, marketing strategy, and competitive positioning. In addition, the Senior Manager is responsible for understanding marketplace trends (consumer, competitor, provider) and assessing new product opportunities (products, services, partnerships, markets) and other growth initiatives in collaboration with the Director for Product Strategy.

Key Responsibilities/Duties – what you will be doing:

  • Develop strategies to support growth and performance of the Duals Line of Business, including

    • Identifying operational performance improvement opportunities to drive administrative efficiency, financial management, improved member and provider experience, and quality

    • Developing the provider network strategy for long term services and supports (LTSS), including network management, development of new contracting models, and provider engagement models

    • Evaluating new product opportunities and growth initiatives (e.g., new products, partnerships, sales/marketing initiatives, new markets)

    • Leading cross-functional assessments to understand strategic implications and operational requirements associated with new opportunities and initiatives

    • Presenting findings to and facilitate strategic decision making with senior leaders and external stakeholders (e.g., government agencies, providers)

  • Leading the implementation and ongoing monitoring of product requirements and initiatives across a highly-matrixed organization to ensure products are delivered in a manner that is compliant with regulatory requirements and supportive of the growth and performance objectives of the line of business

  • Serve as product subject matter expert to enterprise on Duals products

  • Lead the collaboration process with PMO, and other key stakeholders to develop implementation plans for product opportunities

  • Develop collaborative relationships with the internal stakeholders to assess legal, compliance, operational, clinical/care model, consumer, and network considerations and business requirements. Build alignment with how their function-specific strategic goals tie to the product’s overall strategy

  • Develop productive working relationships with a wide variety of external stakeholders, including providers, regulators, and advocates

  • Support the ongoing iteration of existing strategic plans to ensure long-term success in the market

  • Manage relationships with vendors and external consultants, including solicitation of proposals, vendor selection, and project oversight 

  • Support professional development and day-to-day management of Managers and other staff in the department.

Education

  • Required: (minimum) Bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • Preferred: Master’s degree; MPH, MBA, or other master’s degree with healthcare or financial focus

Experience (minimum years required):

  • Required: 8-10 years of professional experience

  • Preferred: 8-10 years of experience in strategy, product development, management consulting, or project management with demonstrated execution of business case development and leadership of strategic initiatives.  Prior health industry experience is essential.  Health insurance experience.

  • Superior analytical skills, including significant experience designing quantitative and qualitative data analyses, and financial management 

  • Ability to understand, interpret and help drive the division’s end-to-end business model

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Strong project management and organizational skills, including prioritization and simultaneous management of multiple high-profile projects

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and proven ability to develop relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, inclusive of external and clinical stakeholders Demonstrated ability to play a leadership role within an organization

  • Familiarity with community-based care management, long-term services and supports, managed care industry, and dual eligible products and programs

  • Experience with applicable software and database programs including Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint

  • Experience in product management, Agile, LEAN, performance improvement, human centered design, or related techniques

Working Conditions and Additional Requirements (include special requirements, e.g., lifting, travel):

  • Must be able to work under normal office conditions and work from home as required.

  • Work may require simultaneous use of a telephone/headset and PC/keyboard and sitting for extended durations.

  • May be required to work additional hours beyond standard work schedule.

Salary Range

$135,124.80 -$202,687.20

The annual base salary range provided for this position represents a range of salaries for this role and similar roles across the organization.  The actual salary for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope and complexity of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; as well as internal equity. As part of our comprehensive total rewards program, colleagues are also eligible for variable pay. Eligibility for any bonus, commission, benefits, or any other form of compensation and benefits remains in the Company's sole discretion and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
