Job Description
Role
Digital Ecosystem Leadership
· Drive the evolution of Absa’s web, social, email, and paid media channels.
· Ensure all digital touchpoints deliver value, relevance, and seamless user experiences.
Strategic Digital Marketing
· Build channel-specific strategies that enhance brand visibility and client engagement.
· Lead high-impact, multi-channel digital campaigns.
Performance, Analytics & Martech
· Oversee SEO, SEM, paid media, retargeting, and performance optimisation.
· Leverage CRM, marketing automation, and analytics to personalise and scale digital execution.
· Translate KPIs, insights, and trends into actionable improvements.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
· Champion digital-first thinking, emerging technologies, and data-driven decision-making.
· Drive experimentation, testing, and learning to achieve ongoing impact.
Stakeholder & Team Leadership
· Partner with Brand, Product, Growth, Sales, and external agencies.
· Mentor teams to strengthen digital capability, agility, and high performance.
Governance, Compliance & Data
· Ensure alignment with POPIA, GDPR, CCPA, and internal governance frameworks.
· Maintain high standards of digital hygiene, accessibility, and ethical marketing.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree (NQF7) in Communications, Digital Media, Marketing, or related field.
· A post-graduate degree (MBA/Masters) is advantageous.
Experience Required
· 8–10 years’ experience in digital marketing (financial services, fintech, B2B preferred).
· Proven experience leading multi-channel digital strategies and high-impact campaigns.
· 3+ years in a people management or leadership capacity.
· Strong understanding of performance marketing, digital analytics, CRM, and marketing automation.
· Experience in digital innovation, customer-centric design, and data-driven decision-making.
