Perforce is searching for Sr. DevOps Manager is responsible for leading multiple teams of DevOps engineers and overseeing the implementation and management of the DevOps practices within the organization. They are responsible for developing and executing the DevOps strategy, ensuring smooth and efficient operations, and fostering collaboration between development and operations teams.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the overall DevOps strategy, aligning it with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Lead and manage a team of DevOps engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Collaborate with software development, system administration, and quality assurance teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Plan, implement, and manage DevOps tools and technologies, including continuous integration/delivery, automated testing, and infrastructure management.
- Strategic vision development for DevOps teams of multiple products along with guiding and optimizing the organization's DevOps practices
- Establish and enforce best practices and standards across development and operations teams.
- Drive automation initiatives to minimize manual efforts and improve productivity.
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues related to software delivery and infrastructure maintenance.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to DevOps and suggest relevant improvements to the organization.
- Lead platform development initiatives with a focus on solving critical business challenges
- Foster collaboration and communication between development and operations teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree is preferred.
- 15+ years of industry experience in Cloud Operation or Software development with at least 7 years in a managerial role.
- Proven track record in managing larger teams and complex projects
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Proficiency in observability tools such as ElasticSearch / Splunk, Grafana, NewRelic
- Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Have prior experience of managing global team from different regions & different cultures
- Has vital Emotional Intelligence management skill
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams, spread across the globe and departments.
