We are seeking a talented individual to join our Data Science (Strategy & Transformation) team at Marsh Risk. This role will be based in Mumbai. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Senior Manager - Data Science (Strategy & Transformation)

The individual contributor Product Management role is centered on driving the development and implementation of cutting-edge artificial intelligence, machine learning, predictive modeling, and natural language processing solutions within the commercial insurance and risk consulting domain. The Product Manager will collaborate closely with data science and analytics colleagues to understand complex financial and statistical challenges, translating these insights into innovative, market-leading product features and tools. This role is responsible for shaping product strategy, prioritizing development efforts, and ensuring the delivery of impactful solutions that meet customer and business needs.

We will count on you to:

  • Translate business needs into clear requirements, feature specifications, and user stories.

  • Capable of navigating the entire process from ideation to production of cutting-edge AI products.

  • Ability to understand complexity of a Global Organization and navigate such complexities for the success of the products.

  • Partners with Data Science, engineering teams and Business Stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.

  • Manage scope and ensure predictable, high-quality product releases.

  • Monitor product performance and iterate based on feedback and data.

  • Manage stakeholder expectations and foster alignment across regions and departments.

  • Develop technical artifacts such as design documents, architecture documents, flow charts, diagrams, wireframes etc.

  • Influence stakeholders across geographies and organizational levels.

  • Build a culture of data-informed, customer-obsessed, outcome-driven product management.

What you need to have: 

  • 9-12 years of product management experience, with at least 3+ years in a senior or leadership role.

  • Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

  • Experience with APIs, data flows, and system design at a conceptual level.

  • Good understanding of AWS and Databricks or other cloud platforms.

  • Well-versed in DevOps concepts and practices.

  • Good understanding of Gen AI and other AI related concepts.

  • Proven ability to use data analysis, experiments, and customer insights to drive product decisions.

  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and python, SQL is a plus.

  • Excellent strategic thinking and business acumen.

  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Domain expertise relevant to the industry (e.g., B2B SaaS, banking, insurance) is highly valued.
