POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual contributor to join our Data Science and Analytics team as a Senior Manager based in India. This hands-on role requires deep expertise in SAS programming, with a strong focus on statistical modeling to support our mortgage and consumer lending businesses. The ideal candidate will be able to contribute immediately by developing and maintaining complex SAS models and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights. In addition to advanced SAS programming skills, the candidate should possess a working knowledge of Python to support broader analytics, process automation, and data engineering initiatives.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and maintain statistical and machine learning models using advanced SAS programming.
- Build and optimize SAS-based reports and data pipelines to support business operations and decision-making.
- Streamline and automate existing modeling, reporting, ETL processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.
- Analyze model performance and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Finance) to define analytical requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Support customer segmentation, campaign analytics, and marketing file generation.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and regulatory standards.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Minimum education required: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Preferred education: Master’s (or PhD) degree in a quantitative discipline.
- Minimum years of experience required: 7+ years in data analytics. Ideal candidate also as some experience in marketing and/or mortgage analytics (but not required).
- Specific skills or abilities needed:
- Expert-level SAS programming is mandatory, including SAS macro language and experience with modeling procedures.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of Python for data manipulation, automation, or exploratory analysis.
- Solid foundation in statistical modeling and data analysis.
- Ability to translate business objectives into analytical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in financial services or mortgage industry is a plus.
