Our Company

Arch is a Series B financial technology company that automates the management of private investments, improving access, understanding, and the human experience of investing across asset classes.

Private investments such as venture capital, hedge funds, and private equity, make up roughly 25% of the investment universe. Traditionally, investors, advisors, banks, families, and managers track hundreds of investments in complicated spreadsheets, file folders, and busy inboxes. Not only is this tedious and time-consuming, but it is rife with opportunity for manual data entry errors, inconsistent reporting, and lost information. Enter, Arch.

Arch delivers standardized data, documents, and insights in a single platform, avoiding the need to chase information across dozens or hundreds of ‘portals’. Our purpose is to save investors’ time while empowering them to make more informed investment decisions, leading to better financial outcomes.

We are a fast-growing, dynamic team of 200+, serving over 400 clients, including several of America’s largest banks, families, and financial institutions. We’ve over doubled the size of the company every year since inception and we are looking to hire in all departments as we scale.

About the Role

We are looking to hire a Senior Manager, Data Operations to lead and scale the data services function within Arch's data organization.

In this role, you will lead a team responsible for extracting, analyzing, and delivering data from Arch's platform for business use. You'll formalize processes, establish operational cadences, and build the foundation for a scalable data services function that enables teams across the company to operate more effectively.

This role is key to solving the company's most difficult operational data challenges, including problems that don't neatly fall into product or engineering and require strong business judgment to navigate. You will investigate root causes, determine whether solutions are possible, and drive the work through completion.

You'll serve as a bridge between technical teams and internal stakeholders, advising on data processes and best practices while ensuring projects move forward and deliver meaningful outcomes.

The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex problems, is comfortable operating in ambiguous environments, and takes full ownership of projects from initial idea through delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Owning and scaling Arch's data services function, including the team responsible for extracting and delivering data from the platform for business use across the organization.

  • Leading high-impact internal data initiatives that help Arch operate more intelligently, including projecting data volume, building out dashboards, establishing regular reporting cadences, and identifying operational insights.

  • Driving end-to-end delivery of data projects, from identifying the problem and determining feasibility to building or coordinating the solution and ensuring successful implementation.

  • Partnering closely with teams across sales, operations, product, engineering, and leadership, acting as both a service organization and a thought partner on how data supports the business.

  • Serving internal teams as stakeholders by keeping them informed on project progress, timelines, and outcomes.

  • Managing the team's intake of ad hoc requests, ensuring work is triaged, actioned or escalated appropriately, and completed within SLA.

  • Supporting data-intensive products and processes by collaborating with clients to procure data, integrating it into the system, and validating output.

  • Building and scaling the data services team, including managing direct reports, hiring additional team members, and formalizing processes and documentation while maintaining continuity of existing operations.

Reach out to us if you:
  • Have 7+ years of experience in operational or business-focused roles and are deeply curious about how companies actually operate.

  • Have demonstrated leadership experience, including managing direct reports, building teams, or leading cross-functional initiatives.

  • Have strong business sense and are an exceptional problem solver who thrives in ambiguous environments.

  • You don't need to be a pure data scientist or engineer, but you should have strong technical data fluency. Our core stack includes MySQL, Python, Notion, and MS Office / Google Suite. We build dashboarding and reporting tools internally. We're looking for experience with:

    • SQL (MySQL) or Python (one is sufficient)

    • Working with large datasets

    • Data cleaning, transformation, and analysis

    • Building projections or data models

    • Measuring and defining operational metrics

  • Enjoy taking end-to-end ownership of projects and driving them from kickoff through launch.

  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills and can clearly explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Are comfortable coordinating across teams and communicating progress clearly with stakeholders.

  • Thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes environments where priorities shift and new challenges arise frequently.

  • Are comfortable operating with urgency and delivering high-quality work on tight timelines driven by client SLAs.

Bonus points if you:
  • Have worked with alternative investments, financial data, financial technology, or data delivery platforms.

  • Have experience in a data analyst, data science, or data operations role.

  • Have worked with large-scale or complex data systems.

  • Have experience building predictive models, statistical analysis, or data quality measurement frameworks.

  • Have experience in consulting or environments where solving open-ended problems was a core part of the role.
