Senior Manager, Data Insights

As a Senior Manager, Data Insights, you will partner closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and leadership to identify opportunities where data, analytics, automation, AI and emerging technologies can improve decision-making, operational efficiency, and business outcomes.
You will lead a high-impact team responsible for delivering actionable insights, analytical products, and data-driven solutions across multiple business functions. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a balance of business acumen, analytical expertise, stakeholder management, and people leadership.
Success in this role requires the ability to operate across business, analytics, data engineering, AI and emerging technology domains while maintaining a strong focus on measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Partnership & Strategy

• Partner with business leaders and functional stakeholders to identify opportunities where data and analytics can drive measurable business outcomes.

• Translate business challenges into analytical initiatives and actionable solutions.

• Influence decision-making through data-driven recommendations and insights.

• Support the development of data-informed strategies and performance management frameworks.

• Lead engagements with technology partners and vendors to evaluate capabilities, influence solution design, and ensure successful delivery of data, analytics, and AI-enabled initiatives.

Analytics & Insights Delivery

• Lead and manage the development and implementation of data-driven analytics solutions addressing strategic and operational priorities.

• Drive the end-to-end analytics lifecycle including problem framing, data exploration, modeling, validation, deployment, and adoption.

• Develop descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and scenario-based analytical solutions.

• Establish KPIs, measurement frameworks, and business performance reporting.

Innovation & Emerging Technologies

• Evaluate and apply emerging technologies, including machine learning, generative AI, intelligent automation, and advanced analytics techniques where appropriate to solve business problems.

• Partner with technology and specialist teams to identify and operationalise opportunities involving AI-enabled capabilities.

• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices across Data, Analytics, and AI.

• Support experimentation and innovation initiatives that improve organisational effectiveness and decision-making.

Leadership & Capability Building

• Mentor and develop data professionals, fostering technical excellence and business impact.

• Promote a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and continuous learning.

• Build strong partnerships across business and technology functions.

• Contribute to the growth of organisational data literacy and analytical maturity.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s/Masters degree, preferably in Analytics, Statistics or Engineering.

• 7+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, data science, strategy analytics, or related disciplines, preferably in a company with large, complex, high velocity data.

• Demonstrated experience leading analytics initiatives and managing stakeholder relationships.

• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, PySpark.

• Experience with Azure data services, analytics platforms, and modern data architectures.

• Strong understanding of statistical analysis, experimentation, forecasting, and analytical problem-solving.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Experience translating business problems into analytical solutions and driving measurable business outcomes.

• Excellent data storytelling skills to present complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.

• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and fast-changing environments.

• Experience managing or mentoring data talent in technical and professional growth.

• Self-starter, results-oriented and detail-oriented, with strong intuitions on problem solving creatively.

Ideally:

• Experience with Azure Data Services, Microsoft Fabric, PowerBI, Azure Databricks, dbt, DataHub, or similar modern analytics platforms.

• Experience working with AI-enabled analytics solutions

• Experience in consulting, infrastructure, engineering, construction, real estate, or project-based industries
