Senior Manager, Data Analytics and Pricing
Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Data Analytics and Pricing will support the Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) by leading data enablement, commercial analytics, pricing analytics, and related data-support. This role will partner closely with Finance, Commercial, IT, and Division leadership to translate business needs into scalable data solutions, actionable insights, and improved commercial execution.
This position will play a key role in strengthening CAD’s data-driven decision-making capabilities, building and improving data processes, analytics, and AI uses cases that support commercial performance, growth initiatives, pricing decisions, and operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead data analytics and pricing support for CAD, including data pipelines, analytical models, pricing analytics, and AI use cases.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing analytics team, including direct and indirect leadership of data and pricing analysts.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable insights. Improve data models, reporting standards, automation, and adoption of analytics tools.
- Build and improve data infrastructure, validation processes, and analytical workflows to strengthen data quality, accessibility, consistency, and speed of insight.
- Develop and enhance tools and dashboards to measure key commercial and financial performance metrics, including revenue growth, margin performance, price impact, backlog management, customer/product trends, share gain, win/loss, and sales effectiveness.
- Lead pricing analytics and pricing strategy execution, including price realization, annual price roll support, discount management, price setting, and performance tracking.
- Provide data analytical support for monthly and quarterly business reviews, strategic planning, operating mechanisms, leadership reviews, and other division-level business priorities.
- Drive stakeholder engagement, user training, tool adoption, documentation, and continuous improvement of analytics solutions.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, mathematics, statistics, engineering, data analytics, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 8–10+ years of experience in finance, data analytics, strategy, pricing, business intelligence, data enablement, or related fields.
- Prior experience leading finance or analytics teams, preferably in a matrixed and global organization.
- Strong business acumen, analytical problem-solving, communication, and influencing skills, with ability to connect data and analytics to practical business outcomes.
- Experience working with large, complex datasets and improving data quality, automation, reporting efficiency, and insight generation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, lead through ambiguity, and operate effectively across functions and geographies.
- Working knowledge of pricing, margin analysis, commercial performance management, promotions, discounting, or revenue growth management preferred.
- Ability to travel as needed, approximately 10–15%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in life sciences, analytical instruments, diagnostics, industrial products, or other complex B2B environments.
- Experience supporting commercial, finance, pricing, or product management organizations.
- Familiarity with enterprise data platforms, CRM/ERP systems, sales reporting, pricing systems, and business intelligence environments.
Skills Required
