Position overview
This role is responsible for translating regional marketing strategies into clear, scalable and market-ready activation across EMEA customer and channel environments.
Working within the EMEA Vision Strategy & IMC team, the role will focus on strategy translation, content enablement, channel activation, customer prioritisation and market readiness. It will help define how regional marketing priorities are activated across key channels, including optometry, clinics, retail, e-commerce and distributor-led models.
The role will partner closely with Consumer Engagement and Professional Engagement leads, ensuring their audience strategies are translated into practical channel and market activation frameworks. It will not own consumer or professional engagement strategy, but will ensure those strategies are connected, actionable and consistently deployed across markets.
This is a high-impact regional marketing role requiring strong strategic thinking, structured execution, stakeholder influence and the ability to simplify complexity into practical tools, guidance and communications for markets.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy, Content & Channel Activation
Translate regional marketing priorities into clear customer and channel activation frameworks for local markets.
Define how campaigns, content and experiences should be activated across key customer and channel environments.
Build practical playbooks, toolkits and guidance that help markets understand what to prioritise, how to activate and how to measure impact.
Lead the evolution of key activation experiences, including New Fit, ensuring stronger market readiness and scalable execution.
Support the development of content activation models that connect regional strategy with local execution needs.
Ensure activation plans are aligned across physical and digital touchpoints without duplicating consumer or professional engagement ownership.
Customer & Channel Prioritisation
Define marketing-led frameworks for customer and channel prioritisation across EMEA.
Help markets identify where marketing effort, content and activation should be focused to maximise impact.
Support segmentation and prioritisation models that clarify which customer groups, channels and activation opportunities matter most.
Partner with Commercial Excellence and Sales to ensure marketing priorities are aligned with commercial execution realities.
Maintain clear boundaries with Commercial Excellence by focusing on marketing activation, customer/channel guidance and market enablement rather than sales execution or sales force effectiveness.
Market Enablement & Capability Building
Equip markets with clear frameworks, tools and playbooks to support consistent local activation.
Lead the regional marketing capability agenda, championing the EMEA Vision Marketing Capability Framework and embedding it across the marketing community.
Partner with L&D and functional leads to support targeted skill development and practical learning interventions.
Drive adoption of frameworks through engagement, governance, coaching and best-practice sharing.
Strengthen the EMEA Marketing Community by supporting capability building, alignment and shared ways of working.
BP Coordination & Planning Support
Support the Director, Strategy & IMC as regional lead for the BP planning process.
Coordinate key marketing inputs, timelines, templates and follow-up across regional marketing and market teams.
Help consolidate regional marketing priorities into a clear and coherent planning narrative.
Ensure BP materials are clear, non-duplicative, strategically aligned and useful for market planning.
Partner with cross-functional teams including Digital, GBI, Communications, Professional Education and Commercial Excellence to support joined-up planning.
Regional Marketing Communications & Community Engagement
Lead regional marketing team communications to build clarity, engagement and alignment across EMEA.
Champion the internal marketing narrative across team calls, community meetings, Teams channels, newsletters and leadership updates.
Ensure markets are kept informed on key priorities, decisions, timelines, capability initiatives and success stories.
Support engagement around regional marketing events, capability sessions and community touchpoints.
Create simple, consistent communications that help teams stay connected, focused and aligned.
Cross-Functional Integration
Partner closely with Consumer Engagement, Professional Engagement, Commercial Excellence, Digital and Analytics teams.
Clarify ownership and reduce duplication across the end-to-end marketing model.
Ensure consumer and professional engagement strategies are translated into effective customer and channel activation plans.
Act as a connector across regional strategy, market execution and functional partners.
Drive coordinated execution while maintaining clear functional accountabilities.
Digital & E-commerce Activation
Support stronger activation across B2B and B2C digital channels, including ongoing ownership of our Order Centre and Chime platforms for content and engagement capabilities
Optimise content placement, customer journeys and conversion pathways from a marketing activation perspective.
Ensure digital activation is integrated into broader campaign and channel plans.
Support the scaling of digital engagement and self-service behaviours in partnership with Digital, Consumer Engagement, Professional Engagement, Deliver and Commercial Excellence.
Agency Leadership & Operational Excellence
Lead relevant agency and partner relationships to deliver consistent, high-quality activation support for markets.
Support effective coordination of regional IMC budgets, tracking and prioritisation where relevant.
Drive accountability, performance and continuous improvement across the partner ecosystem.
Identify best practices and scalable approaches that can be adopted across markets.
Success Measures
Stronger translation of regional marketing strategy into market-ready activation.
Clearer customer and channel prioritisation across EMEA markets.
Improved adoption of regional frameworks, playbooks and tools.
Stronger engagement with the EMEA Marketing Capability Framework.
Clearer, more coordinated BP marketing inputs and narratives.
Improved regional marketing communications and community engagement.
Better consistency and scalability of content and channel activation across markets.
Clear functional alignment with Consumer Engagement, Professional Engagement and Commercial Excellence.

Proven ability to influence and align stakeholders across markets and functions.
Leadership Profile
You operate at the intersection of strategy, content and market enablement. You bring clarity, pace and structure to complex regional priorities, helping teams translate strategy into practical action. You demonstrate the following leadership behaviours:
