Job Responsibilities
Strategic CRM Leadership:
- Develop a comprehensive, data-driven CRM strategy for email and SMS notifications that spans prospecting, onboarding, re-engagement, and retention initiatives.
- Serve as the primary CRM expert, bringing advanced knowledge of segmentation, customer lifecycle strategies, automation and high-converting email design to optimize customer communications and drive conversion across all CRM touchpoints.
Creative Communications Development
- Lead the strategy and execution of high-converting creative campaigns within Klaviyo, ensuring strategic alignment with business objectives and delivering high engagement rates across email and SMS.
- Align on messaging strategy across product, sales and marketing team, often leveraging tools such as CoPilot and ChatGPT to write, produce and edit email copy.
- Develop and test clean and easy-to-read email templates using deep knowledge of Klaviyo design tools and email best practices.
- Partner with Director, Web Strategy & Growth and SEO Manager to connect outbound communications with personalized web experiences that match customer journey and segment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including creative, product, and data analytics, to refine messaging, test new creative approaches, and ensure a consistent customer journey across all channels.
Advanced Audience Segmentation & Personalization:
- Use Klaviyo’s segmentation capabilities to create and manage detailed customer segments, driving hyper-personalized messaging based on behavioral triggers, purchase history, and engagement patterns.
- Implement targeted lifecycle programs that nurture customer relationships, optimize engagement, and boost retention across diverse customer segments and lifecycle stages.
Data Analysis, Reporting & Executive Communication:
- Lead analysis of CRM performance metrics, providing data-driven insights into campaign success and customer behavior trends; create high-level reports for the leadership team.
- Communicate CRM performance regularly to executive stakeholders, offering strategic recommendations that inform broader marketing and growth objectives.
Testing & Innovation:
- Establish a robust testing framework in Klaviyo to continuously refine campaign strategies, including A/B and multivariate testing on content, timing, and segmentation.
- Stay informed on industry best practices, emerging CRM technologies, and Klaviyo advancements to ensure Time4Learning and Brightspire maintain a cutting-edge CRM approach.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Partner closely with Marketing, Sales and Product teams to align CRM efforts with growth initiatives, ensuring a cohesive brand message and a seamless customer journey.
Job Requirements
- Experience: 7+ years in CRM management with 3+ years of hands-on experience using Klaviyo for advanced email, SMS, and push notification campaigns; experience in a DTC or subscription-based brand preferred.
- Platform Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Klaviyo’s segmentation, automation, and reporting capabilities; experience in data analysis and attribution modeling.
- Product Marketing and Positioning: You’re a master at breaking down product features into quick, easy to understand sound bites.
- Strategic Vision:Demonstrated ability to design and lead CRM strategies that contribute to growth and retention; experience developing customer lifecycle marketing programs with measurable success.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:Proven ability to work effectively across teams, aligning CRM efforts with broader business goals and providing CRM expertise to cross-functional partners.
- Analytical Skills:Highly proficient in data analytics with the ability to interpret complex datasets and provide insights that drive campaign improvements.
- Creative Direction: You understand the key ingredients of high converting emails, can leverage templates and AI tools to create great creative and partner with creative teams to develop core assets where necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in EdTech, education, or subscription-based business models.
- Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and other regulatory requirements related to CRM marketing.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for email development.
