Job Description:
What You'll Do
Manages initiatives and individuals, collaborating with business leaders and subject matter experts (such as Remediation & Restitution business partners, Risk and Compliance, Analytics, and 3rd party vendors) to drive execution of the Discover-defined Counterparty Remediation Plan (CRP) and deliverables. Leads a team responsible for overall management and execution of the CRP program and all related milestones. Manages processes and deliverables related to monitoring & reporting, governance & process management, and artifact development and management. Has a skill for storytelling, using existing data and developing new metrics and insights to deliver key messages to Senior Leadership and key stakeholders. Proven experience in managing complex projects, with a track record of successful planning, execution, and delivery. Has experience with the payments market landscape, conducting analysis, communicating, managing, and leading execution of major remediation and restitution efforts, including the ability to proactively identify issues, risks, and challenges, develop mitigation strategies, and effectively engage stakeholders for solutioning. Sets the strategic vision, hires the right team, and motivates them to achieve business and program objectives. Works with minimal supervision.
How You'll Do It
  • Leads and influences in problem solving with business partners and stakeholders in enterprise activities that have dependencies on the development and outcomes of the counterparty remediation plan, such as the Legal department and Regulatory Affairs. Coordinates with cross-functional teams and external third-party administrator to manage the development & execution for CRP.
  • Manages and coordinates with internal team(s) and external vendors on problems and projects of diverse scope related to advancing & executing CRP program.
  • Design and implement reporting (and/or analytics as required) to various stakeholders including executive management, the Office of Remediation, and other internal and external stakeholders to manage and monitor the counterparty remediation plan. Provides consistent status communication to management which includes applicable escalations on the execution of the counterparty remediation program. Conducts and/or interprets analysis on components of CRP strategy.
  • Leads coordination of artifacts for various internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and regulators, as well as reporting on process execution.
  • Manages a team of professionals responsible for developing and executing the restitution program and implementation strategies.

Qualifications You'll Need
The Basics
  • Bachelors Business Administration and Management, Finance, Social Sciences, or related.
  • 8+ years Restitution/remediation, M&A, investment banking, business development or optimization, business analysis, risk management, finance, pricing, consulting, or related
  • 2+ years Payments, financial services, or related
  • In lieu of degree 10+ years Restitution/remediation, M&A, investment banking, business development or optimization, business analysis, risk management, finance, pricing, consulting, or related
  • In lieu of degree 2+ years Payments, financial services, or related

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $106,000.00 to $178,800.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
