Job Description:
The Corporate Strategy team leads critical strategy development, strategic planning, value creation and portfolio transformation projects working with Mars Leadership Team, global segments, corporate development, global functions and other senior business leaders. The Corporate Strategy Senior Manager is responsible for driving key strategy projects to frame insights and enable choices and actions that deliver on Mars, Inc. strategic & value creation objectives. The senior manager is viewed as an expert strategist and analytical leader within the team who independently manages senior stakeholder relationships while collaborating with other strategy team members.
This role will have the opportunity to gain a broad-based understanding of Mars across categories, segments, and business units. It is expected that this role will blend strong internal capabilities with
creative, external perspectives.
What are we looking for?
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related. MBA is preferred
- Experience in Corporate Strategy, Corporate Development, Finance, or related
- Strategic thinking & insights coupled with strong financial acumen
- Skilled in advanced analytics, with ability to model and synthesize complex financial information and comfort with large data sets and analysis
- Fluency with external market data sources (e.g., Euromonitor, Nielsen, etc.)
- Excel and PowerPoint excellence
- Superb communication skills
- Project / process management
- Knowledge of CPG industry or Mars business specifically a plus
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Lead strategy projects related to portfolio strategy, value creation and financial strategy, and key business transformation priorities that are on the Mars Leadership Team (MLT) agenda
- Lead efforts to answer enterprise-level strategic questions – including decisions on Mars, Incorporated’s long-term priorities, investments, and operating model
- Lead competitive intelligence and deep dive analysis into market and competitive developments or consumer behaviors and/or analysis of significant current industry events as they happen in real-time
- Partner with business units or functions on strategic projects to accelerate the business performance of Mars - projects span portfolio / growth / brand strategy, operational excellence, transformation, M&A, etc.
- Support the preparation of Board materials and Leadership Team presentations
- Support strategic knowledge and capability curation across the strategy community

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
