We are seeking an experienced Corporate Compliance and Ethics Manager to manage the day-to-day activities of the Corporate Compliance and Ethics Program reporting to our Corporate Compliance Director. The ideal candidate will be self-directed, with the ability to creatively problem-solve, and will have initiative to raise concerns or suggestions and act as a champion for action. This is a remote role and requires healthcare compliance and auditing experience.
What you’ll be doing:
- Support and Drive the Enhancement of our Internal Compliance Program to ensure effectiveness and alignment with the seven elements.
- Policy Management Oversight. Develop, review, and update compliance policies and support the Policy Review Committee in discharging their policy management framework.
- Conducting Compliance Training: Design and deliver engaging compliance training programs for employees to foster a culture of compliance and ethical practice throughout the organization.
- Managing Incident Investigations: Lead investigations related to compliance incidents, and regulatory issues. Document findings, take corrective actions, and develop preventive measures to reduce future risks.
- Supporting the Business in Risk Management: Collaborate with Enterprise Risk Management and cross-functional teams to identify and manage risks associated with new initiatives, products, and services.
- Overseeing and Conducting Audits and Assessments: conduct and coordinate internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Fostering a Culture of Compliance: Act as a compliance ambassador within the organization, promoting awareness of compliance obligations and fostering a proactive approach to regulatory adherence.
In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in supporting the company’s commitment to ethical practices and regulatory compliance.
What success looks like in this role:
- Effective Compliance Program Implementation: You’ve worked with our teams and integrated into daily operations, with clear policies, procedures, and controls that meet regulatory standards and support business objectives.
- Proactive Risk Identification and Mitigation: Regular risk assessments are conducted, and potential compliance risks are identified and addressed before they become issues. You’ve established a proactive approach to risk management that prevents costly compliance violations.
- High Employee Engagement in Compliance: Employees across the organization understand and actively engage in compliance practices, thanks to effective training programs. Feedback indicates a strong culture of compliance awareness and ethical responsibility.
- Successful Audit Outcomes: Internal and external audits show minimal findings, and any issues identified are addressed promptly. The organization consistently meets or exceeds regulatory requirements with strong audit performance.
- Efficient Incident Management and Resolution: Compliance incidents are handled swiftly and thoroughly, with documented investigations and corrective actions in place. Your processes ensure that issues are resolved and preventive measures are implemented.
What we expect from you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience in compliance management, preferably within healthcare or insurance sectors.
- At least 3 years of healthcare auditing experience and knowledge of healthcare regulatory frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, Managed Care).
- Certification required: Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC), or a similar certification.
- EAP or clinical compliance experience is a plus.
- DMHC experience is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing priorities and deadlines.
- Experience with program and project management.
The target base salary range for this position is $158,200 - $205,700, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually using Radford Global Compensation Database at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
