Raytheon has an opening for a Senior Manager, Contracts within our Advanced Technology (AT) / Advanced Effectors & Space (AE&S) Contracts organization, which focuses on key pursuits as well as development efforts that serve as the growth engine and front end of the business, critical to the future growth of Raytheon.
The selected candidate will lead a team of contract professionals responsible for contract administration and capture activities supporting key development programs. This role focuses on team leadership, major classified pursuits, and effective contract execution across efforts that contribute to Raytheon’s long‑term growth. The Classified Portfolio is a fast‑paced environment, and the Senior Manager, Contracts will serve as a trusted business partner to Program Leadership, providing sound contracting guidance and support aligned with program and business objectives.

What You Will Do
- Lead, manage, mentor, and develop a team of contract professionals, overseeing workload, performance, and career development.
- Serve as the senior Contracts authority for the classified portfolio.
- Develop and execute classified contract strategies that support technology maturation, prototyping, and other development efforts.
- Lead negotiation and administration of complex, classified U.S. Government contracts (CPFF, CPIF, T&M, FFP).
- Support development and response to Request for Proposals (RFP), contract negotiation, contract administration, non-disclosure agreements, and other business agreements.
- Oversee proposal development, terms and conditions analysis, risk identification, and negotiation planning for both competitive and sole-source efforts.
- Provide business and contract guidance that influences program planning, technical decision-making, and customer engagement.
- Support internal reviews, audits, gate reviews, pricing strategy discussions, and customer meetings.
- Collaborate with Government counterparts and partner with PMO functional teams to ensure compliant and effective contract execution.
- Manage customer communications, contractual changes, and issue resolution while cultivating and sustaining a positive, trust-based relationship with the Contracting Officer.
- Travel Requirements are minimal.
- This role is designated as on-site and located in Tucson, Arizona.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience
- Experience managing, and building teams; related to leading, teaching and /or mentoring professionals to success
- Experience working with varying types of contracts under US Government acquisition
- Active and transferable U.S. Government-issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience working in a fast‑paced, high‑visibility work area supporting advanced development programs and classified technologies
- Knowledge of intellectual property strategies, data rights, cost/price analysis, FAR / DFARS and proposal development processes
- Experience bidding and/or managing development contracts in a fast-paced competitive environment
- Ability to understand the financial aspects of contracts and other business arrangements as well as the ability to contribute to negotiation strategies.
- Experience contributing to program management and financial reviews such as; Estimates at Completion (EAC), Program Management Reviews, Material Reviews, Integrated Baseline Reviews, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and influence senior leadership and stakeholders to drive successful business outcomes

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
