Opportunity Overview
The Senior Manager, Compensation leads the strategy, design, and administration of the company's global compensation programs, ensuring they support business objectives, attract and retain top talent, and reflect Rhythm's commitment to pay equity and transparency. This role partners closely with HR, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and business leadership to provide compensation expertise across job architecture, market benchmarking, annual compensation planning, incentive programs, and equity administration. The Senior Manager, Compensation is responsible for advancing scalable compensation practices, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving process improvements that enhance efficiency, data integrity, and the overall employee experience across a rapidly growing global organization.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Lead global market benchmarking efforts and analyze competitive compensation practices to support salary structures, hiring decisions, promotion recommendations, and annual compensation planning.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partners on job evaluations, leveling, market matching, position design, and offer development.
  • Support development and maintenance of global salary structures and compensation frameworks.
  • Develop and present communication materials, training content, and manager resources related to compensation philosophy and pay transparency.
  • Manage annual compensation cycle preparation and execution, including merit increases, promotions, bonus planning, equity grants, and compensation budget administration.
  • Manage administration and communications related to the Nonqualified Deferred Compensation (NQDC) program.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international compensation-related regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of compensation trends, market data, and global pay transparency regulations
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, automate workflows, and enhance data integrity across compensation programs.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field
  • 6+ years of progressive total rewards experience with at least 3 years focused on Compensation
  • Experience in the Biopharmaceutical industry preferred
  • Experience managing global compensation programs preferred
  • Strong financial and analytical skills
  • Advanced Microsoft skills required
  • Experience with systems such as ADP, Etrade, and Pave preferred

This role is based out of our corporate office in Boston, Massachusetts. Rhythm operates in a hybrid-work model. Candidates applying must be willing and able to be in the Boston office in coordination with their department and business needs. This role may involve some travel.
The expected salary range for this position is $135,000 - $215,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, level, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and company performance. This role may be eligible for benefits and other compensation such as restricted stock units.
