Senior Manager of Commercial Strategy and Revenue Optimization

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Manager of Commercial Strategy and Revenue Optimization. This role will provide an elevated level of autonomy and is well suited for an experienced manager looking to share a strong voice and provide leadership across all areas of responsibility. It is ideal for the individual seeking to have an immediate and direct impact on the business, and who thrives on leveraging analytic, strategic and commercial experience.

As a Senior Manager in this role, you will contribute to Small Law Commercial Strategy and Revenue Optimization by supporting and developing commercial strategies, GTM commercial support, product monetization considerations and by harnessing a passion to unlock incremental revenue opportunities.

The successful candidate will possess a blend of curiosity, analytical acumen, experience analyzing and deploying commercial levers, strategic thinking, and the desire to achieve impactful results to optimize revenue.

About the Role 
In this opportunity as a Senior Manager of Commercial Strategy and Revenue Optimization you will: 

  • Drive Commercial Success and Financial Performance: Conduct data analysis to develop recommendations and implement strategies that enhance commercial outcomes and maximize profitability.   Role encompasses development, recommendation, launch, execution and tracking of initiatives intended to optimize revenue, both for GTM applications as well as incremental revenue opportunities.
  • Financial Performance: Monitor and analyze financial metrics to identify commercial opportunities for improvement at scale.
  • Price Optimization: Utilize data-driven insights to determine optimal pricing strategies that balance competitiveness and profitability.  Consider and make recommendations on various customer adoption and penetration alternatives.
  • Revenue Management: Implement effective revenue management practices to optimize revenue streams and minimize losses broadly and also for individual customer segments.  Translate high level objectives into actionable and successful outcomes.
  • Market Analysis: Understand competitive landscape and customer behavior; conduct research and analysis as appropriate.  Apply learnings to improve our commercial model.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gain alignment and buy-in.  Prepare and deliver insights to senior leaders.
  • Performance Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on performance of initiatives, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.

About You 

You're a fit for the role of Senior Manager of Commercial Strategy and Revenue Optimization if your background includes: 

  • Commercial Experience: Excellent track record of determining appropriate levers to apply, and experience in successful execution.
  • Price Optimization Techniques: Knowledge of pricing strategies, approaches and tools to achieve desired results, experience in successfully deploying winning strategies.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong desire and aptitude for analyzing large volumes of complex data to derive insights leading to actionable programs and policies.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop both short and long-term strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate strategies, gain stakeholder alignment and present results effectively.
  • Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of financial principles and metrics.
  • Market Research: Experience in conducting market research and/or competitor analysis.
  • Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively with various teams to achieve common goals.
  • 5+ years of experience in a commercial, revenue management or strategic pricing role, with a track record of developing, launching, executing and tracking successful initiatives.
  • Experience using Tableau, Alteryx and PowerBI to analyze large volumes of data, draw insights, make appropriate recommendations and track to results.
  • Strong preference for an advanced degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $116,900 - $217,100. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
