As a Senior Manager, Clinical Operations at ICON, you will be critical in overseeing the operational aspects of clinical trials to ensure their successful execution.

What You Will Do:

Take the lead in shaping clinical operations across EMEA. In this role, you will serve as the dedicated functional manager for our sponsor's program, overseeing a high-performing team across Europe. You will ensure operational excellence through effective oversight visits, comprehensive monitoring report reviews, and proactive management of Sponsor KPIs. Your leadership will be key in driving quality, consistency, and successful study execution across the region.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing clinical operations teams to ensure the effective planning, execution, and monitoring of clinical trials.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to streamline clinical trial processes, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including clinical research, data management, and regulatory affairs, to ensure alignment and integration of clinical operations with overall project goals.
  • Overseeing site management activities, including site selection, initiation, monitoring, and closeout, to ensure high-quality data and compliance with study protocols.
  • Monitoring trial performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions to address any issues and optimize trial outcomes.

Your Profile:

You will have a strong background in clinical operations, with proven management experience and a commitment to quality delivery.
Required qualifications and experience:

  • Degree in Life Sciences, Clinical Research, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in clinical operations, with a proven track record of managing and executing clinical trials across various phases and therapeutic areas.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to guide and develop a team of clinical operations professionals.
  • In-depth knowledge of clinical trial regulations, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and industry standards, with experience in optimizing trial processes and managing operational challenges.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the capability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners to achieve project objectives.
  • Willingness to travel as required (approximately 30%)
