Job Description:

The Strategic Initiatives Office is a dedicated team responsible for planning, implementing, and managing change management across GDO and with a critical focus on the strategic initiatives. The Strategic Initiatives Office sets the standards and works closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure that changes are implemented smoothly and effectively in order for benefits to be realised. 

The Senior Manager for Change Management plays a key role in establishing standards and guidance for successful change and is responsible for deploying the Strategic Initiatives Office change approach. Focuses on the people side of change, which can include changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organisation structures. Applies the Prosci® change management process and tools to create and implement change management strategies and plans that maximise adoption, whilst minimizing resistance.  

What are we looking for?

  • Proven change management background and experience in delivering change for large scale transformations from design to handover to BAU 

  • Strategic thinking and design as well as experience in developing and delivering engaging communications and training programmes  

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills  

  • Experience in leading and managing teams and projects  

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Design and lead the change strategy and plan for the Strategic Initiatives Office, establishing standards and guidance for successful change and taking overall responsibility for deploying the Strategic Initiatives Office change approach, supports the SIO Lead by managing the performance and results of the Strategic Initiatives Office 

  • Responsible for owning and maintaining Strategic Initiatives Office change methodology, tools and reporting, ensuring ongoing alignment with the Change CoE and the MGS Strategic Portfolio Office 

  • Lead and manage change initiatives using Mars Prosci methodology from design planning, communication, training and stakeholder management  

  • Responsible for providing clarity and awareness of the Strategic Initiatives Office offering across key business stakeholders and wider change network 

  • Provide dedicated change support across strategic initiatives, takes a proactive approach to identifying, assessing and mitigating potential risks that may arise 

  • Collaborates with project management to ensure integration of change management activities into project/programme plans 

  • Acts as a coach for senior leaders in helping them fulfil the role of change sponsor and provides support to managers as they help their direct reports through transitions 

  • Manages the aggregated view of change impact to inform decision making, mitigate change collision/saturation, inform decision making and continuously tracking and reporting results
