Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Business Unit Finance to serve as the finance lead for a high-growth portfolio within our Defense, Intelligence, and Health business. This role will act as a strategic business partner to senior leadership, driving financial performance, operational efficiency, and long-term growth.
The ideal candidate brings deep GovCon experience, strong program control expertise, and a proven ability to influence business outcomes through financial insight and strategic partnership.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the finance lead for a $300M+ portfolio, partnering with business unit leadership to drive financial and operational performance
- Lead forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, including long-range (1–5 year) strategic financial planning
- Manage and optimize indirect rates and overall financial performance metrics (KPIs)
- Act as a trusted business partner across operations, growth, and functional teams to influence decision-making
- Translate financial insights into actionable strategies that drive revenue growth and margin improvement
- Lead and develop a team of finance professionals, including goal setting, coaching, and career development
- Drive process improvements, financial transformation initiatives, and system enhancements to improve efficiency and user experience
- Support business strategy development, including prioritization of growth opportunities aligned to organizational goals
- Deliver executive-level presentations and provide insights to influence senior leadership decisions
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- 10–15+ years of experience in Government Contracting (GovCon)
- Strong background in program control / program finance (not solely FP&A)
- Demonstrated experience managing financials for large, complex portfolios ($300M+)
- Proven ability to partner with operations and influence business outcomes
- Experience leading and developing high-performing finance teams
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into strategic insights
