Job Description
This role partners closely with Boyd Thermal operations to identify process inefficiencies, redesign how work gets done, and lead sustainable improvements through adoption. Leveraging Eaton Business System principles and continuous improvement methodologies, the position drives practical, data-informed solutions that deliver measurable value locally while creating scalable best practices across Eaton. As part of a newly acquired, high-growth business, the role serves as a catalyst for transformation, combining hands-on problem solving, digital fluency, and a bias for rapid execution to improve operational performance and accelerate business outcomes.
Job Responsibilities
- Partner with Boyd Thermal leaders and stakeholders to identify process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities across operational and transactional workflows.
- Map and analyze end-to-end business processes, leveraging process mining, task analysis, and data-driven insights to quantify impact and prioritize improvement initiatives.
- Redesign business processes around desired outcomes, challenging legacy practices and aligning workflows with Eaton's standard value streams and operating model.
- Lead continuous improvement and transformation projects, ensuring standardization and simplification occur before automation, digitalization, or AI deployment.
- Drive implementation through adoption by building stakeholder alignment, securing decisions and resources, and embedding process improvements into ongoing business operations.
- Collaborate with TSA exit and integration teams to ensure process transformation is incorporated into broader business transition and integration activities.
- Develop and sustain standard work, performance metrics, training materials, and governance processes to support long-term success and operational excellence.
- Pilot innovative tools, AI solutions, and process capabilities within Boyd Thermal, documenting results and partnering with Eaton functional leaders to scale proven practices across the enterprise.
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- 10+ years driving process improvement and process transformation, with substantial depth in transactional and corporate functions (finance, legal, communications, HR, procurement, shared services) — including enterprise- or multi-function-scale programs, not primarily manufacturing or shop-floor.
- Demonstrated mastery of DMAIC and DMADV/DFSS, applied to real projects with documented, validated results.
- Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt strongly preferred (Black Belt required), with a track record of certifying and coaching other practitioners.
- Hands-on exposure to automation and AI on transactional work — agentic AI, RPA, and/or process mining (e.g., Celonis, UiPath) applied to real back-office processes.
- Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.Up to 30% travel required across Eaton locations and factories.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience improving knowledge-work and back-office processes where the “product” is information, decisions, or documents.
- Track record of influencing senior functional leaders without formal authority.
- Formal change management capability (Prosci/ADKAR or equivalent) to make improvements stick.
- Experience helping stand up a Center of Excellence, shared-services, or transformation office from the ground up.
- Familiarity with modern data platforms and the design of human-in-the-loop AI agents for enterprise workflows.
- Strong analytical and data skills: building baselines, analyzing variation, and proving results with data.
- Process mapping fluency (value stream mapping, SIPOC, swim-lane, process capability analysis).
- Proven experience setting enterprise process standards or operating models — e.g., a global process owner / shared-services model, or a named business or operating system deployed across functions and regions.
- Demonstrated executive-level influence — trusted advisor to VP- and C-suite functional leaders, driving enterprise change without formal authority.
- A relentless bias for execution — you drive change personally and finish what you start.
