Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Business Process Management, will be responsible for analyzing, developing, and optimizing the organization’s business processes to drive operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality. This role requires a strategic thinker who can collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, design solutions, and implement process changes that align with Winrock’s goals and objectives.
The Senior Manager will also manage the Corporate and Programs operations manuals, facilitating controlled edits and changes to policies and procedures across the organization.
While this role may be based anywhere in the contiguous United States, the candidates will be expected to work on eastern or central time. Candidates based in D.C., Maryland, and the Virginia area will be given highest priority.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Process Analysis & Improvement
- Conduct end-to-end reviews of business processes to identify pain points, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Utilize process mapping, workflow analysis, and data-driven insights to recommend and implement process improvements.
- Standardize processes to ensure consistency, compliance, and efficiency across departments.
Business Process Re-engineering Project Management
- Lead process improvement initiatives from concept through implementation, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals.
- Develop project plans, define objectives, allocate resources, and track progress against milestones.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure change management and adoption of new processes.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Leverage data analytics to measure the effectiveness of process changes and ensure continuous improvement.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of process improvements and regularly report on progress.
- Use business intelligence tools and dashboards to provide insights and recommendations.
Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, to identify business needs and prioritize process improvement efforts.
- Communicate changes to employees, ensuring clarity on new workflows, expectations, and benefits.
- Facilitate training sessions and create documentation to support process changes.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify potential risks associated with process changes and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all business processes comply with industry regulations, organizational policies, and best practices.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in process improvement, business analysis, or a related role.
- Proven experience with change management and stakeholder engagement.
Experience:
- Business Process Management Methodology: Experience in business strategy, process architecture, process design and modeling, process review and improvement methodologies such as LEAN, Kaizen, Six Sigma and Business Process Re-engineering.
- Strong understanding of US Government (USG) rules and regulations. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in compliance within the context of USAID-funded programs, ensuring adherence to applicable standards and best practices.
- Quality Control and Assurance: Experience in developing and managing a quality management system.
- Management of Operations Manual, Policies and Procedures.
- Industry Knowledge: Home office and field experience in an international development Organization.
- Internal Communications: Exceptional communication (written and presentation) skills to engage staff at all levels of the Organization.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, international relations, or a related field.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a changing environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Language: English, strong preference for any additional languages
Required Travel: Ability to travel internationally as required, up to one trip per year
The salary range for this role is set between $110,000 and $120,000, with the majority of candidates typically landing within the midpoint of this range, there is an additional 10% contribution for a 403b annually and an excellent benefits package.
