As a Senior Manager, Business Intelligence, you will take full accountability for the achievement of our business goals and own the execution of our BI strategy. and will be a champion of benefits realization and cost management. You will also play a central role in setting up efficient work models, including partnerships external to BI, achieving outstanding performance and continuous improvement. This role will support advanced analytics and Machine Learning solutions for Product, Underwriting and Pricing. It will focus on building, maintaining and modernizing an ecosystem of analytical solutions that integrates MLOps best practices to maximize the business value generated by our analytical solutions.


How you will create impact: 
  • Establish effective multidisciplinary work processes, own the change management plan and negotiate resolution of escalated inter-team relationship issues.
  • Create plans and roadmaps for large BI initiatives, prioritizes work in alignment to the org priorities and estimate costs and benefits.
  • Own execution plans, ensure the quality of deliverables, and drive team effectiveness to achieve business outcomes.
  • Lead engaged and performing teams by developing people leaders and championing change.
  • Take accountability for the quality and effectiveness of BI deliverables at a large scale.
  • Act as a leader and champion with peers inside and outside BI on the continuous improvement of the practice and act as a model steward.
  • Seek out and implement innovation and new partnership opportunities to support our Data & Analytics Strategy.

To join our team:  
  • You have 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role and 10 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Actuarial or Analytic function with knowledge of the P&C insurance industry.
  • You have a post-secondary degree in Mathematics, Actuarial, Statistics, Computer Science or other relevant field.
  • You have expert knowledge of Analytics, Data Science and BI Technologies.
  • Having the Associate Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) or Fellowship Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) designation(s) would be an asset.  
  • Having a MSc or MBA would be an asset.   
  • This position primarily works with majority non-francophone groups, and teams located outside of Québec, and requires proficiency in English. The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members.

Expected salary range $114,021 - $164,000+.

The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.

Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
