ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The incumbent will be responsible for, but not limiting to the following duties:
- Source new business opportunities via connection with external partners and internal sales team.
- Collaborate and coordinate cross-functional teams to evaluate new business opportunities identified, including market/product/strategic fit assessment, partner due diligence, and business impact estimation.
- Chart roadmap for project execution and act as PMO to drive the implementation.
- Structure new opportunities and negotiate key terms with external partners and collaborate with legal team to translate it into executable agreements.
- Act as P&L leader of new business opportunity and drive commercial execution with sales, channel, marketing and external partners to deliver revenue and profit target while tracking and reporting KPI of executed project.
- Lead the development and refinement of the overall BD and portfolio strategy, typically spanning a 1-3 year timeframe.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND GIVEN:
The incumbent of this position will be an individual contributor. Essential instruction will be provided directly by line manager but most of the work requires independent analysis and judgment.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION & SKILLS:
- Bachelor's degree in scientific/medical discipline (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Technology) with master’s degree in business-related field or MBA with a focus on healthcare or life sciences is highly preferred.
WORKING EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in business development / financial advisory / management consulting / product marketing / portfolio management / strategy within the medical diagnostics, medical device, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industries, with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding targets.
- Demonstrated experience in identifying, negotiating, and closing significant business deals or partnerships within the healthcare sector.
- Familiarity with clinical laboratory operations, in-vitro diagnostics (IVD), or healthcare systems. Upstream insight is a significant advantage.
FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires business travel in an ordinary situation.
