ROLE SUMMARY:
Anheuser-Busch is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Manufacturing Controller to oversee the financial management at our Houston TX Brewery. This role will involve the management of cost accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and performance analysis within our manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing finance, be highly analytical, and be able to work cross-functionally with various departments to ensure financial success and operational efficiency.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Financial Analysis: Provide ongoing financial analysis support to brewery managers for both fixed and variable costs (Mid-month and Month-end reporting structure)
- Team Collaboration: Partner with brewery management to understand and explain financial variances. Provide valuable insight & recommendations for improving financial performance
- Variance Analysis: Analyze cost and margin variances between actual and budgeted results. Work with brewery management to provide detailed explanations to upper management
- Provide budget analysis and support for the brewery for both fixed and variable manufacturing costs
- Responsible for coordinating, summarizing, and submitting monthly financial projections for manufacturing costs (fixed/variable)
- Work with brewery management to track & prioritize financial risks and opportunities
- Coordinate and ensure the completion of the month-end close in a timely & accurately
- Provide leadership and train/develop brewery management on brewery financials/costs
- Internal Controls & Compliance: Conduct internal process reviews to ensure/maintain strong control environment
- Ensure Federal (Tax & Trade Bureau) Sarbanes-Oxley & IFRS compliance to maintain a strong Control environment
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business-related discipline (i.e. Finance, Logistics etc) or technical degree required (Engineering, Sciences, etc.); CMA, CPA, and/or MBA preferred.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, supervisory experience a plus.
- Cost accounting experience preferred
- Strong problem-solving, analysis, planning, and communication skills. Budget development and oversight preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with multiple customers and support groups to achieve a desired goal.
- Solid understanding of company business policies and compliance requirements. Demonstrated strategic planning capabilities.
- Experience with SAP and related reporting tools strongly preferred
- Ability to work independently: Strong ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks without the need for direct supervision.
- A self-starter who can prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines with little direction.
- Ability to analyze financial data independently, identify trends and variances, and make recommendations based on solid analysis.
