The Role

Reporting to the Content Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing wealth and investment content for regional use from start to finish, ensuring tone and voice consistency and client-relevancy. Content creation will focus primarily on thought leadership and educational pieces, and will include select strategy-specific commentaries.
In partnership with Portfolio Managers, Client Portfolio Managers, Strategists, Marketing and Distribution professionals, the successful candidate will seek to engage and communicate our most engaging wealth stories, investment ideas, and strategies to elevate our brand and drive growth to help our clients/prospects (wealth and institutional) in their journey.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing content distribution via websites or social media across Manulife Investment, as well as Manulife’s organic channels regionally, working collaboratively with channel and product marketing teams to ensure maximum impact.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality, relevant, and customer-centric content for retail distribution (both captive and partnership channels) and retirement businesses in Hong Kong, Singapore, Mainland China, Indonesia, etc.
  • Build stories to promote our income franchise and the longevity proposition, as well as elevate our investor and retirement planning education.
  • Build investment credentials: Focus on investment content (e.g. macroeconomics, asset classes, industry/sectors, asset allocation) & thought leadership materials (surveys, white papers) to showcase Manulife’s investment capabilities and increase brand awareness.
  • Localize content formats and optimize delivery across multiple websites (retail and institutional) and social media platforms, ensuring that various SEO inputs are considered.
  • Digital enablement: Leverage search marketing best practices (SEM and SEO) to optimize digital content; with the capability to master generative A.I tools.
  • Support the development of GEN AI Editorial Assistance tool to accelerate efficiency of content creation.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years of wealth or asset-management or relevant content marketing and writing experience, with demonstrable skills in content creation, project management, product positioning, and relationship management; previous journalistic experience, a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, economics, journalism, communications, or other relevant fields, with demonstrated success in editorial and publishing experience.
  • Effective bilingual writing and communication skills in English and Traditional Chinese (Simplified Chinese, is a plus)
  • Well-organized and attentive to detail, good team player
  • Good PC and Chinese input skills; Bloomberg terminal usage is a plus.
  • Strong data analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills; good creative sense.
