Role and Responsibilities

Purpose of the job:    

The successful applicant will be responsible for developing Jordan Operator Partnerships and maintaining Operator relationships across specific markets. The candidate will have ownership of operator facing product roadmaps as well as participate in the Go-to-Market management of products selected for Ranging by operators with main focus being to ensure Samsung brand leadership and Smartphone business growth in the operator channel.  He/she will be responsible to manage both the sell-in and sell-out across the operators in his/her region.

Key Objectives:

Reporting to the Sales Head and working closely with multiple divisions (Regional sales teams, Product Management and Marketing teams, Finance and operations teams) within Samsung and local distribution partner/s. The Operator Account Manager will fulfil the need of being one single voice of Samsung facing the Operator for ranging, bundling, sales and marketing, and operational activities, ensuring business targets are met.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop partnerships and strengthen operator relationships.
  • Ownership of listing all Samsung product portfolio within the operator roadmap
  • Develop Go-to-Market jointly with operators on new products 
  • Oversee all ATL, Online, BTL and retail executions based on Go-to-Market
  • Operator channel pipeline management (Sell-in, Sell-thru, Sell-out)
  • Managing operator unique sell-out programs (develop, execute, monitor, evaluate, modify)
  • Manage operator PSI and SCM
  • Monitor and analyze regional, operator industry, competitor trends
  • Internal reporting on regular intervals to promote the visibility on operator business

Skills and Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Experience, Education and Licensure

  • At least +10 years of extensive experience in Telecom business
  • Post Graduate degree in business management is an advantage
  • Ability to perform and work under different conditions and a team player
  • Existing relationship with operators in Jordan
  • Understand Telecom dynamics and derive quick solutions
  • Good networking with the local industry
  • Extensive sales thinking and pro-active
  • Strong accounts management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects
  • Self-starter being able to work under minimum supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word is a must

• Language Skills

  • Arabic & English
