The Senior Manager – AV & Broadcast Technology Solutions is responsible for supporting the strategy, planning, design coordination and technical governance of audiovisual, creative technology, immersive media and integrated digital experience systems across Qiddiya Sports Business Unit assets.

Acting as the Sports Business Unit Center of Excellence representative, the role works closely with Development, Design, Project Delivery, Operations, Asset Management, Qiddiya Technology and external consultants to ensure that AV, media and creative technology systems deliver world-class fan, athlete and guest experiences while meeting the highest standards of technical performance, operational reliability, cybersecurity, maintainability and long-term sustainability.

The role also requires a strong understanding of ICT infrastructure and digital technologies, recognizing that modern sports and entertainment venues rely on seamless integration between AV, broadcast, networking, operational technology and enterprise platforms.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with strategic thinking, stakeholder management and a passion for innovation. They are comfortable operating across multiple disciplines, translating creative ambitions into technically robust, future-ready solutions that enhance the performance, efficiency and guest experience of Qiddiya's world-class sports assets.

Key Responsibilities

Design Governance & Technical Leadership

  • Coordinate AV, media and creative technology design across sports venues throughout all project stages.
  • Establish and promote technical standards, system architectures and design guidelines across the portfolio.
  • Provide specialist technical advisory to Development and Design teams to ensure consistency, scalability and future readiness.
  • Safeguard design intent while balancing operational, technical, programme and budget considerations.

Strategy & Innovation

  • Contribute to long-term technology roadmaps aligned with Qiddiya's Sports Technology, Innovation and Guest Experience strategies.
  • Identify emerging technologies and industry innovations that enhance fan, athlete and operational experiences.

Integrated Sports Technology

  • Support the integration of AV systems with ICT infrastructure, broadcast, communications, venue management platforms, digital signage, IPTV, control systems, operational technologies and other smart venue solutions.
  • Promote coordinated design between AV, ICT, MEP, architectural and operational disciplines.
  • Evaluate system architectures for resilience, redundancy, cybersecurity, maintainability and lifecycle performance.

Operational Readiness

  • Ensure AV and creative technology systems are designed for long-term operational performance, maintainability and high-throughput event environments.
  • Support development of operational documentation, maintenance strategies, testing and commissioning, training and handover processes.
  • Assist transition from project delivery into venue operations.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders across Sports Business Unit, Qiddiya Technology and other corporate functions.
  • Coordinate with creative teams, consultants, system integrators, operators and technology vendors.
  • Act as a trusted technical interface between creative, technical, operational and commercial stakeholders.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Media Technology, Entertainment Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
  • At least 7+ years of relevant experience delivering AV, media or integrated technology systems for internationally recognised sports venues, entertainment destinations, arenas, stadiums, major events or large-scale mixed-use developments.
  • Strong understanding of modern audiovisual systems, digital media technologies, IPTV, digital signage, broadcast integration, show control and immersive experiences.
  • Good understanding of ICT infrastructure, networking, systems integration and smart venue technologies.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary project teams throughout design and delivery phases.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes, consultant management and technical specifications.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within complex, fast-paced, multidisciplinary project environments.

Skills Required
