Senior Manager, AI Engineering

We’re looking for a Manager, AI Engineering to join our ever evolving AI Engineering & Innovation Team and help shape the future of global commerce. In this pivotal leadership role, you’ll drive the adoption and delivery of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) and Machine Learning (ML) solutions that transform how Global Payments serves clients, empowers teams, and accelerates business growth. Partnering with engineering, product, and business leaders, you’ll turn emerging technologies into scalable, enterprise-ready capabilities that create measurable value across the organization. Your leadership will influence our AI strategy, strengthen innovation at scale, and help position Global Payments at the forefront of the next generation of intelligent payment experiences.

• Drive enterprise AI transformation by identifying and delivering Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) and Machine Learning (ML) solutions that create measurable business value, improve decision-making, and unlock new growth opportunities.
• Lead high-performing engineering teams that deliver innovative, production-ready AI products and capabilities, accelerating adoption, enhancing user experiences, and advancing strategic business objectives.
• Shape the future direction of AI across Global Payments by influencing investment priorities, evaluating emerging technologies, and turning complex business challenges into scalable solutions that drive competitive advantage.
• Champion responsible and effective AI adoption by ensuring solutions are secure, ethical, compliant, and aligned with business goals while building trust and confidence across stakeholders.
• Accelerate organizational AI maturity by fostering collaboration, growing internal AI communities, and expanding awareness of AI capabilities that empower teams to innovate and deliver greater impact.

• Proven success leading software engineering teams and delivering enterprise-scale Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), or Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) solutions that drive business outcomes.
• Strong hands-on engineering background with experience building, deploying, and scaling production-ready software applications and AI-powered products.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into technical execution, aligning innovation initiatives with organizational goals and measurable results.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and storytelling skills with the ability to influence decisions across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, combined with a passion for developing talent and building high-performing teams.

• Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP), conversational AI agents, or large language model application development frameworks.
• Knowledge of cloud and data platforms, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Snowflake, Apache Spark, or Apache Kafka.
• Experience implementing AI/ML operational practices, including continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), automation, data governance, or real-time data processing solutions.
