KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deal Execution: Work with Head of Advisory and the Managing Director, to execute debt capital markets, syndicated loans, and structured products transactions in Kenya and across the wider East African region.
Placements: Take a lead on placements of the transactions with various classes of investors including DFIs, Banks, Fund Managers, Insurance Companies, Private Equity amongst others.
- Partnership Management; In conjunction with the corporate banking team leverage off the bank’s customer base in order to originate debt capital markets mandates.
- Product Development: Develop innovative debt financing structures that are responsive to customers’ needs.
- New business: Onboarding new business to ensure growth & sustainability.
- Customer experience: Champion the delivery of consistent, seamless and trusted customer service to ensure customer retention and loyalty.
- People Management: Develop and grow a high functioning advisory team with deep capacity to execute debt capital markets, structured products, syndicated facilities as well as financial modelling skills.
- Stakeholder Management: Develop and manage the relationships with clients as well as the investing community.
Documentation and Compliance: Ensure that the transaction documentation meets all regulatory and compliance requirements.
