What is the Opportunity?

Are you a finance professional with a passion for managing finance operations? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where your expertise can make a significant impact? We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Manager to join Parallel by RBC.

As a Senior Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting accounting, bookkeeping and financial activities for our ultra-high-net-worth clients. Your primary objective will be to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of their financial operations.

What will you do?

  • Prepare draft financial statements and supporting schedules for external tax advisors ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and accounting standards.

  • Collaborate with Parallel finance lead to manage a high volume of accounting, including reconciliation and compliance.

  • Help ensure that we develop and implement procedures, streamlining processes for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.

  • Maintain and provide support to maintain client financial records ensure we uphold efficiency and readiness for tax season and major financial events.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel ensuring we are always aligned in the client’s best interest.

  • Create a structured and proactive approach towards Year-End closing procedures

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices, ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement.

  • Conduct regular financial reviews, identifying areas for improvement and exploring appropriate solutions.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • Canadian CPA certification is required.

  • Proven experience in a senior finance or accounting role within a family office or wealth management firm.

  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial planning, and analysis.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in financial management software and systems.

Nice to have:

  • US CPA certification is highly desirable.
