The Senior Manager, Finance and Accounting maintains accurate, timely and complete financial records for all financial transactions from supplier to customer using effective and efficient systems. Responsible for the closing and supervising of legal entities monthly as well as leading and mentoring team members through the close process. This individual will be responsible for preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations and support schedules for assigned legal entities.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage assigned team members and provide training, work direction, and coaching
- Responsible for closing and supervising of legal entities monthly and working with the FP&A team to review financial results
- Ensure alignment of operational priorities with business priorities
- Analyze data to make informed decisions about the operations of the team
- Focus on Month end close process efficiency, effectiveness, and continuous improvement for all assigned legal entities
- Monitor entity close scope to ensure adherence and compliance with controls
- Track and perform analysis of services delivered in group, including internal and external benchmarking
- Work with team to standardize processes across entities
- Work with Internal/External auditors to answer questions
- Identify best practices and continuous improvement opportunities and facilitates embedment of the practices into the organization.
- Develops people to reach their full potential through individual coaching, training, and career development, preparing them to assume increased responsibility.
- Assumes other special activities and responsibilities as required.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- 5-10 years of experience in Accounting or Finance related position
- 5 years supervisory experience
- CPA and/or MBA is desired.

- Experience in the Manufacturing industry a plus
- Outstanding customer focus including attributes of empathy, compassion, and service orientation
- Passionate and high energy which can assist in selling future vision to customers
- Strong detail orientation, with a focus on data quality
- Adaptability/flexibility which includes being open to change and conducting business differently
- Focused on continuous learning and developing new skills
