The Team - Accounting Advisory 

Our Accounting Advisory team brings together experienced public accounting professionals and business advisors with deep technical and operational expertise. We partner with high-growth and emerging companies to support IPO readiness, capital raises, M&A lifecycle events, complex technical accounting matters, and evolving financial reporting requirements. The team leverages our Technical Accounting Solution Center and industry specialists to help FinTech clients scale confidently while meeting regulatory and investor expectations.

Your Impact 

  • Advise FinTech, payments, SaaS, lending, digital banking, and technology-enabled financial services clients—both public and private—on complex accounting and financial reporting matters, including IPO readiness, audit preparedness, transaction support, carve-outs, and adoption of new accounting standards.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, providing practical, research-backed guidance on technical accounting, financial controls, and reporting implications of innovative business models.
  • Lead client engagements end-to-end, including project scoping, delivery execution, timeline management, and coordination across cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and deliver executive-level presentations outlining technical conclusions, project plans, risks, and recommended paths forward.
  • Build and grow long-term client relationships with a strong focus on identifying expansion opportunities and converting advisory insights into new engagements.
  • Play an active role in business development by originating opportunities, supporting proposals, participating in client pitches, and collaborating with Partners on go-to-market initiatives within the FinTech ecosystem.
  • Monitor team performance to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to professional standards while mentoring and developing high-performing talent.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative solutions, methodologies, and thought leadership related to FinTech accounting, emerging technologies, and evolving regulatory expectations.
  • Act as an ambassador of the firm in the marketplace, strengthening our brand through networking, industry involvement, and client advocacy

Your Experience 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA required
  • 8+ years of experience in professional services (public accounting and/or accounting advisory)
  • Strong experience supporting FinTech, technology-enabled financial services, or high-growth SaaS companies
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and internal controls
  • Demonstrated success managing client relationships and contributing to revenue growth
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Master’s in Accounting or MBA
  • Experience supporting IPO-stage or recently public FinTech companies
  • Familiarity with complex revenue models, stock-based compensation, business combinations, purchase accounting and equity-linked financing structures
  • Experience with ERP and accounting systems such as NetSuite, Workday, Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple engagements, and operate effectively in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments
  • Prior experience originating or expanding client relationships within a consulting or advisory firm

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Highspring believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure to be between the range below. The individual may also be eligible for a variety of bonus and financial incentives based on individual and company performance.
