This role:
We are looking for a Senior Major Projects Project Manager to join our
growing team, based in Swindon with UK travel. The salary band for this role is
£75,000 to £85,000.
You will own a portfolio of 33-132kV projects, including switchgear
and primary substations for renewable technologies, from award through to
completion. As a key customer contact, you will work closely with our
Commercial, Design and Supply Chain teams to deliver projects safely, on time,
to the required quality and within budget.
An idea of what you'll be doing:
· Managing a portfolio of
complex, multi-million-pound major projects from award to completion, with
clear ownership of programme, scope, resources, quality, budget and
profitability.
· Taking responsibility for
project P&L accounts, cost forecasting, financial control and routine
operational and commercial reporting.
· Acting as the escalation point
for customers, contract partners and internal teams on delivery, finance,
contractual and communication matters.
· Working closely with customers
and internal stakeholders, including Commercial, Design and Supply Chain, to
onboard projects and maintain accurate cost information.
· Defining and embedding
effective project controls and governance, including current programmes of
work, milestone management, change control and dependency logs.
· Forecasting resources and
managing cross-programme dependencies so that risks, decisions and delivery
priorities remain visible.
· Overseeing project costs and
identifying practical, innovative ways to improve delivery efficiency and
maximise profitability.
· Providing project feedback,
recommendations and lessons learned to the Commercial team.
· Making timely decisions and
attending sites across the UK when needed to troubleshoot issues, monitor
quality or conduct audits.
· Delivering projects
sustainably, with due consideration for competence, capability and safety.
· Mentoring colleagues across the
Major Projects Project Management team and supporting their continued
development.

Requirements
You'll have a proven track record of:
· Extensive project management
experience in the electrical utility or construction industry, including
delivery at EHV voltage levels from 33kV to 132kV for an ICP or DNO.
· Driving and delivering complex,
multi-million-pound projects through the full project life cycle.
· Managing project P&L,
forecasting profit and loss, controlling costs and reporting progress against
targets and budgets.
· Building effective customer
relationships and adapting your communication style for customers, delivery
partners and internal teams.
· Working across several teams
and projects at once while maintaining strong organisation and coordination.
· Using Microsoft Project or
equivalent project management software, together with Microsoft Office, Teams
and SharePoint across multiple devices.
· Using initiative and sound
judgement to find cost-effective solutions in challenging situations while
working collaboratively with others.
· Working alongside Design teams
and contributing to tendering activity in the electrical industry.
You'll be a successful Senior Major Projects Project Manager at
Sinewave if you're …
· Qualified in project
management, for example PRINCE2, APM or PMI, or able to demonstrate equivalent
experience. Overseas equivalents are accepted and practical application will be
considered alongside qualifications.
· Experienced in managing
projects and supporting the development of colleagues.
· An excellent communicator and
listener who can follow written and verbal instructions.
· Customer-focused, organised and
confident taking decisions when required.
· The holder of a full UK driving
licence.
· Qualified in Emergency First
Aid at Work and SMSTS.
· Committed to working safely,
following company and SHEQ requirements, reporting hazards and incidents
accurately, and helping to reduce waste and improve environmental and social
performance.
· Eligible to work in the UK.
