Job Description 'z/OS Automation Engineer'

For our Mainframe Shared Services team we are looking for a z/OS Automation Engineer.
In this position you will be responsible for:
- design, build, test and maintain Automation, Monitoring and System Availability solutions in a highly automated z/OS Mainframe environment
- Plan and execute DR drills ( failover and failback)
Your team
You will be working in the Automation Engineering team in Pune/India and you will interact with other Mainframe Engineering teams and the related Support teams in Basel/Zurich and Weehawken.
We are a team of technical specialists who are responsible for the planning, development, maintenance as well as problem management in the area of z/OS Automation and Disaster solutions (Business Continuity Management). We analyze and realize automation solution in close co-operation with the appropriate software owners and clients.
In addition we providing 24x7 support by On-call service for applications which run on the IBM z/OS platform covering multiple regions in different time zones. We provide services based on the Service Level Agreement (SLA) and ensure the System availability entities for all production-, test- and development environments.
Your experience and skills:
You have:
- Knowledge of z/OS Mainframes and IBM or 3rd party Software, in particular SA390 and/or BMC Mainview software products would be helpful
- Experience in IBM Parallel Sysplex technology SA390/GDPS/Hyperswap/PPRC
- Experience in problem analyzing and software development writing REXX scripts for solution
- Experience in AI software and its implementation with willingness to use it for z/OS Mainframe environment (for AI Automation Eng) Example : BMC AMI Ops
- MS office suite experience
- Automation Infrastructure Started Tasks (IBM GDPS, Mainview)

Skills Required
- Knowledge of z/OS Mainframes and IBM or 3rd party software (SA390 and/or BMC MainView)
- Experience with IBM Parallel Sysplex technologies (SA390, GDPS, Hyperswap, PPRC)
- Design, build, test and maintain z/OS automation, monitoring and system availability solutions
- Plan and execute disaster recovery drills (failover and failback)
- Proficient in writing REXX scripts for automation and problem analysis (REXX ~80%)
- Experience with BMC products and interfaces (BMC MainView, BMC AMI Ops, IMFEXEC, AOEXEC, TOMEXEC, BBI2/BB3)
- Experience with automation interfaces and tooling (AutoOperator, NetView/GDPS, Netcool, BigPanda)
- Experience with TOM backup/restore, system start/shutdown, image isolation, message trapping concepts
- Experience providing 24x7 on-call support for production, test and development environments
- Proficiency with MS Office suite
- Strong communication, coordination, organizational and project management skills; fluent English
