Description
SHINE Technologies is seeking a full-time Senior Machinist to support ongoing manufacturing and product development efforts. This role is responsible for the setup and operation of a wide range of machine shop equipment, including CNC machining centers, CNC lathes, CNC knee mills, manual lathes, and manual mills.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing raw materials, machining, fabricating, modifying, and repairing mechanical components for both R&D and production applications. The Senior Machinist is best suited for a highly skilled machinist who thrives on producing complex geometries from challenging materials in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.

The base salary range for this position is $31.00 - $41.00 per hour plus a comprehensive compensation package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
Job Responsibilities:
Own the entire machining process, from raw material selection through completion and final part inspection.
- Program and operate CNC machining centers and CNC lathes
- Design and fabricate appropriate tooling and fixtures
- Safely set up, adjust, and operate machine tools, including CNC machining centers, mills, and lathes
- Coordinate with design engineers to confirm requirements of machined parts
- Deliver completed parts into an ISO 9001 quality system
- Operate manual mills, lathes, saws, and light fabrication equipment
- Create and manage CNC tool libraries
- General maintenance, upkeep, and cleaning of shop and equipment
Requirements
- High school diploma is required
- Associate degree in machining, or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience with 3D CAD software required, SolidWorks experience a plus
- Experience with CAM software, MasterCAM experience a plus.
- 10 years professional experience in a machine shop is preferred
- Ability to work independently to manufacture parts from prints, solid models, or simple sketches, while troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues.
- Ability to work with various engineers and technicians to identify and rectify problems with parts.
- Familiarity with tooling and vendors
- Willingness to contribute in a breadth of areas and jobs
- Welding experience desirable
