Job Summary & Responsibilities

The Senior Logistics Specialist is responsible for end-to-end material flow of engineering parts, spares and tools —covering inbound receipts, inspection coordination, ESD-safe handling, inventory control, kitting, storage in controlled environments (e.g., dry cabinets/nitrogen), and outbound shipments (domestic and international). This role partners closely with Engineering, Field Service, Manufacturing, Quality, and Procurement to ensure right part, right place, right time with full traceability in the ERP system.

Key Responsibilities

Inbound (Receiving)

  • Receive and verify engineering parts, tooling, subassemblies, and consumables against POs, packing slips, and ASN data.
  • Receive, uncrate and transport tools to on-site cleanroom facility
  • Perform initial visual checks for damage; route parts to Incoming Inspection / Quality as required.
  • Execute receipts, lot/serial capture, and label/ID creation; quarantine nonconforming materials.
  • Ensure ESD-safe handling for sensitive devices; maintain moisture sensitivity (MSL) controls per JEDEC practices.

Warehousing & Inventory Control

  • Store parts in appropriate locations (bin, rack, dry cabinet, nitrogen storage)
  • Maintain accurate inventory via cycle counts, root cause analysis for discrepancies, and corrective actions.
  • Kit and stage engineering builds, field service kits, and pilot runs; manage returns (RMA) and refurbishment loops.
  • Sustain 5S, safety, and ESD compliance within warehouse and staging areas; maintain calibrated tools and scanners.

Outbound (Shipping & Logistics)

  • Pick, pack, crate, and ship engineering parts, tools, and systems domestically and internationally; prepare export/commercial documentation.
  • Coordinate pickups and track shipments.
  • Comply with packaging standards for sensitive/precision parts (foam, anti-static bags, desiccants, humidity cards, vacuum sealing where required).

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 2–4 years experience in shipping/receiving, warehousing, or materials handling—preferably in high-tech manufacturing, aerospace, or medical devices.
  • Working knowledge of ESD controls, cleanroom interfaces, and handling of precision components.
  • Proficiency with Oracle
  • Basic knowledge of hazmat shipping (IATA/DOT), packaging standards, and carrier portals (UPS/FedEx/DHL).
  • Ability to lift up to [50] lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and operate pallet jacks/forklifts (or willingness to certify).
