The Senior Logistics Specialist, based in Dubai, will ensure the efficient, end-to-end, on-time, and cost-effective availability of materials and installation tools. The role includes overseeing documentation and process compliance, as well as coordinating with cross-functional teams to provide effective logistics support to both internal and external stakeholders.
Supports the Frontline and Area Logistics Manager in managing Frontline logistics performance and ensuring timely support and information for technicians, supervisors, and project managers. This role demands a proactive and highly organized professional who can lead with integrity, adapt to evolving technologies, and maintain high operational and safety standards in accordance with KONE’s policies and the regional regulatory framework.
Responsibilities and key activities:
Lead, direct, and control logistics operations, policies, procedures, and activities to maximise the efficiency, reliability, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness of logistics operations
Focal point of contact for KONE and the Logistics Service providers for operations of materials volume planning and control, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, customs clearance, regulatory authorities’ approvals, transport, and distribution.
Identification, driving, and execution of continuous improvements and variable cost productivity (VCP) projects, and ensuring data completeness and accuracy for reporting.
Establish KPI’s & SLA’s in areas such as transit and delivery times, inventory levels, transportation costs, warehousing costs, and service standards, and monitor the operational performance of external and internal parties against these KPI’s.
Maintain & timely reports, data analytics & dashboards for metric visibility & communication.
Responsible for conducting timely cycle counts and physical inventory in time, ensuring KPI’s are met and driving inventory integrity.
Supports the review of the project-level logistics cost budget
Reports to the regional manager on operational performance data
Executes logistics safety programs with internal functions and external service parties, e.g., logistics service providers.
Plans and organizes the transport of material from DC to FL. He/she also handles logistics service providers and customs/broker-related information management.
Manages clearance-related activities and ensures the broker’s compliance.
Plans and orders the delivery of materials from the local warehouse to the site.
Coordinates Logistics execution with a locally outsourced logistics provider, if applicable, and monitors the provider’s performance.
Manages the consolidation of local materials for site delivery and coordinates the site delivery of installation tools.
Orders transportation or additional services from logistics providers as requested
Reviews invoices/PO differences and clarifies these, and manages the correct posting of logistics costs to cost categories and projects
Ensures replenishment of stock material.
Maintains and updates the logistics Control Tower, ensuring end-to-end shipment visibility from supplier/manufacturing location to destination.
Proactively track shipments, identify delays, transit risks, documentation gaps, and other exceptions, ensure timely escalation, and coordinate corrective actions with suppliers, freight forwarders, logistics service providers, and internal stakeholders.

Proven experience working with ERP systems, especially SAP (MM module).
Deep understanding of Logistics operations, inventory control processes, storage practices, and supply chain principles, with a solid understanding of HSE protocols and compliance.
Familiarity with customs documentation, local regulatory compliance, and import/export procedures.
Strong organizational skills with excellent communication & presentation skills, keen attention to detail, and accuracy in logistics operations and reporting.
