The Role
The Opportunity

The Senior Logistics Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for working with logistics partners to design and deliver solutions that align with both client requirements and business objectives. The role includes engaging directly with clients to capture their needs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to shape optimal solutions, and presenting these proposals to clients.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of supply chain and logistics operations, excellent communication skills, and proven ability to build and manage partner relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Support the sales team throughout the opportunity pipeline by understanding client requirements and crafting innovative logistics solutions to address their needs and challenges.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout the logistics solutioning process, ensuring effective communication and timely delivery of solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal partners (e.g., sales, operations, IT) and external partners (e.g., third-party logistics providers, vendors) to develop tailored logistics solutions that meet client specifications and goals.
  • Present logistics solutions to clients, clearly articulating the benefits, cost savings, and operational efficiencies of the proposed solutions.
  • Lead the design and development of new logistics solutions that enhance the overall offering and performance of the logistics network.
  • Work with cross-functional teams on large-scale initiatives, coordinating logistics to ensure successful project integration.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring that turnaround times, quality standards, and cost expectations are met.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to stay informed about the latest trends, industry standard processes, and emerging technologies in logistics.
  • Apply market insights to design innovative logistics solutions that are competitive, efficient, and aligned with client needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Certifications in logistics or project management (e.g., PMP, APICS, Six Sigma) are a plus.
  • Prefer 4+ years in logistics or supply chain management, incl. 2 years in customer-facing role.
  • Strong understanding of logistics systems (TMS, WMS, ERP) and technologies.
  • Outstanding analytical, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex solutions in a clear, customer-centric way.
  • Proven experience managing relationships with third-party logistics providers and vendors to ensure the successful delivery of solutions.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of cost and margin dynamics with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and evaluate financial impacts of logistics decisions.
  • Excellent organizational skills and initiative with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery of solutions.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada on a permanent basis
  • Able to travel to vendor and client locations as required to support business needs, project delivery, and relationship management.
