As a Senior Logistics Lead at xAI, you'll orchestrate the flow of resources and materials to power our cutting-edge facilities. Working onsite with dynamic teams, you’ll tackle complex supply chain challenges, streamline operations, and ensure timely delivery to keep projects on track. Expect to dive into strategic planning, optimize logistics processes, and drive efficiency to support xAI’s mission of accelerating human scientific discovery through AI.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement logistics strategies to enhance work site efficiency, focusing on inventory management, demand planning, and logistics execution.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of logistics professionals to ensure alignment with xAI’s operational goals. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Oversee relationships with suppliers and logistics partners, ensuring compliance with service level agreements, cost management, and quality standards.
- Drive lean practices in logistics operations, including material handling, transportation, and reverse logistics. Implement innovative solutions to streamline processes.
- Coordinate significant logistics projects, such as new facility rollouts, expansions, or technology implementations, ensuring they meet timelines and budget constraints.
- Utilize data to forecast needs, analyze logistics performance, and make data-driven decisions to optimize logistics operations.
- Ensure all logistics activities adhere to safety, regulatory, and environmental standards
- 5+ years of experience in logistics, with a focus on high-tech environments. Proven track record in leading logistics teams and managing complex projects.
• Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations Management.
• Experience with cloud technologies or infrastructure services.
• Knowledge of AWS or similar cloud operations.
• Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, when needed.
• Work is often performed in tight quarters and physical dexterity is necessary to perform job functions.
• Comfortable working in an environment requiring exposure to noise.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
•Ability to lift or carry 25-50 lbs.
