Job Summary:
This position requires a highly skilled Senior Logistics Integration Engineer with a strong background in SAP and EDI/API integration. Job responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining integration solutions that connect various systems and applications within our organization. This role requires a deep understanding of SAP modules, EDI standards, and API protocols to ensure seamless data exchange and process automation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement integration solutions using SAP PI/PO, SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), and other middleware tools.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to gather integration requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Develop and maintain EDI mappings and workflows to support various business processes, including order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and logistics.
- Create and manage APIs to enable real-time data exchange between SAP and other enterprise systems.
- Monitor and troubleshoot integration issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to business operations.
- Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and performance tuning to ensure optimal integration performance.
- Document integration processes, configurations, and best practices to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior integration specialists and other team members.
- Support the logistical EDI testing team in validating and verifying EDI transactions.
- Handle EDI support issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to business operations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
- Work Experience: 7+ years of relevant experience in integration, SAP, and EDI/API technologies.
- Supervisory: None
- Travel: One to three times a year
Special Job Competencies:
- Extensive experience with SAP modules (e.g., SD, MM, FI/CO) and integration technologies (e.g., SAP PI/PO, SAP CPI).
- Strong knowledge of EDI standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and protocols (e.g., AS2, FTP, SFTP).
- Proficiency in API development and management using REST, SOAP, and OData.
- Familiarity with middleware tools and platforms (e.g., Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, IBM Integration Bus).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.
