Job Summary: The Logistics Executive will be responsible for managing and optimizing the logistics and distribution operations to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of products. The role involves coordinating with internal teams, external vendors, and transportation partners to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics Planning & Execution:
Plan and oversee the transportation and distribution of goods to ensure on-time delivery.
Optimize logistics processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Vendor & Partner Management:
Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, transporters, and warehouses.
Negotiate contracts and rates with vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels and ensure alignment with demand forecasts.
Ensure proper storage and handling of goods to minimize damage and losses.
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to transportation and logistics.
Maintain accurate documentation for shipments, invoices, and delivery records.
Performance Monitoring
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery timelines, cost per unit, and transportation efficiency.
Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with sales, procurement, and production teams to align logistics operations with business needs.
Resolve any issues related to delays, damages, or discrepancies in shipments.
Technology Utilization
Use logistics management software and tools to streamline operations and improve visibility across the supply chain.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
2-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation management.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.
