A Day in the LifeThe Sr. Logistics Analyst (OpEx) will drive Operational Excellence in our Japan Logistics Network. This role will focus on improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing operational performance through Kaizen, Lean, and Six Sigma.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Drive Continuous Improvement projects: Drive and manage continuous improvement projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
•    Implement MPS: Develop, implement, and sustain the Medtronic Performance System (MPS) to ensure consistent application of Lean and Six Sigma across the network.
•    Assess warehouse operations regularly to identify opportunities for improvement.
•    Facilitate training and development programs to build OpEx capabilities within the team.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure success of OpEx initiatives.
•    Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and impact of OpEx projects.
•    Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the network.

Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or a related field
•    Minimum of 2 years of experience in operational excellence, continuous improvement, or related roles.
•    Understanding of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies; Green Belt certification preferred.
•    Knowledge of Value Stream Mapping
•    Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
•    Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
•    Good communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•    Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.

•    Japanese language proficiency

Required. N1 equivalent (test is not necessary, but proficiency is). English is also required. TOEIC of 850 or above (also, no test required, only that level of proficiency).

Reporting Structure:

•    Reports to: Regional OpEx Manager
•    Direct Reports: None 
Goals and Objectives:
•    Achieve measurable improvements in operational efficiency and cost reduction.
•    Contribute to a sustainable OpEx culture within the network.
•    Ensure successful implementation of Kaizen, Lean, and Six Sigma projects.
Other Details:
•    Travel: Domestic travel required. International travel possible
•    Employment Type: Full-time
•    Compensation: Competitive salary and benefits package.

• Work Location: Primarily Tokyo Operation Center , with required business travel to Covidien Logistics Center Japan as needed.

• Expected Frequency of Coming into the Office: 2-3 times per week to Tokyo Operation Center.

Main Responsibilities

  • 継続的改善プロジェクトの推進: 効率性と有効性を向上させるための継続的改善プロジェクトを推進し、管理する。

  • MPSの実施: メドトロニック・パフォーマンス・システム(MPS)を開発、導入、維持し、ネットワーク全体でリーン、シックスシグマの一貫した適用を確保する。

  • 倉庫業務を定期的に訪問、評価し、課題の特定、改善を推進する。

  • チーム内にオペレーショナル・エクセレンス能力を構築するためのトレーニングおよび開発プログラムを促進する。

  • OpExチームとして、部門横断して他チームと主体的に協力し、プロジェクトを適切に成功へ導く

  • 主要業績評価指標(KPI)を監視・報告し、OpExプロジェクトの進捗と影響を追跡する。

  • ネットワーク内の継続的改善とオペレーショナル・エクセレンスの文化に貢献する。

Must Haves

  • エンジニアリング、ビジネス、または関連分野の学士号

  • オペレーショナル・エクセレンス、継続的改善、または関連業務における最低2年の経験

  • リーンおよびシックスシグマの手法を理解していること。

  • バリューストリームマッピングの知識

  • クロスファンクショナルチームをリードできる強力なプロジェクトマネジメントスキル

  • 優れた問題解決能力と分析能力

  • 優れたコミュニケーション能力と対人能力

  • 独立して、またチームの一員として働く能力

  • データ分析ツールやソフトウェアに精通していること
