In this role, you will:
- Lead loan reviews which include a complete re-underwrite of the loan file to assess the credit decision, a review of closing documents for compliance requirements, and a review of the appraisal for collateral quality
- Research and validate most complex and escalated loan files to ensure programs, investors, and company polices are followed
- Contribute to the resolution of loan transitioning and processing issues
- Partner with other Loan Examination Specialists to meet process deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of closing, underwriting, and compliance guidelines
- Collaborate with immediate peers and more experienced management to report findings and recommendations
- Act as a mentor for less experienced Loan Examination Specialists
- 4+ years of Underwriting experience, Loan processing, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Non-Agency and Government (FHA, VA) underwriting experience
- Experience approving policy exceptions
- Exposure to the Wells Fargo's CORE origination system
- Extensive knowledge of lending policy guidelines and procedures
- High attention to detail and accuracy skills
- Ability to understand and meet deadlines
- Strong professional oral and written communication skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills - excel, outlook, word, etc.
- This job offers a hybrid work schedule
- Site operating hours are 7am - 6pm Monday - Friday local time

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
