The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our Linux infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Red Hat System Administrator to lead the administration of our Linux environments, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining Red Hat-based systems, including RHEL, VMWare and OpenShift.
- Providing expert-level support for Linux systems, including troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving complex issues.
- Developing and implementing best practices for Linux system administration, security, and compliance.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Linux systems with other IT systems and applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Linux System Administration:
- Design, implement, and maintain Red Hat-based systems, including RHEL, VMWare, and OpenShift.
- Configure and manage Linux systems, including networking, storage, and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex Linux system issues.
- Security and Compliance:
- Develop and implement best practices for Linux system security and DoD RMF compliance
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including cyber systems engineers, SIEM/logging team, and IT operations.
- Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Red Hat technologies and best practices.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000
