The Role
Clear Capital is building the future of real estate data, and we need your help! We are seeking an experienced Senior Linux Systems Engineer that can help us reach our goals of knowing more about a property than anybody else and in the process making home ownership valuations more fair and equitable for millions of people.
You will be a part of the IT Operations team. With workloads in private and public clouds, our infrastructure ultimately supports all units of business and customers throughout the world. This is an enterprise environment where uptime is critical. We partner with our software development teams to build highly scalable, secure, and always-available solutions through cutting-edge technologies and an engineering culture and mindset.
We are looking for a systems engineer with a focus and passion for data. You will assist with the development and implementation of systems leveraging structured and unstructured data focusing on delivery of data and machine learning solutions at scale.
What You Will Work On
- Continuous improvement of infrastructure, from bare metal and hypervisors to operating systems, VMs and containers
- Understand and apply advanced database administration, management and performance tuning technique
- Troubleshoot to root cause, across stacks and teams
- Improve monitoring and observability
- Modernize administrative practices
- Lead projects to evaluate and select new technologies
- Productionize new services from build to BCDR
- Develop scripts, procedures and processes for data management and management migration and application development
Who We Are Looking For
- 5+ years in a Linux Systems Engineer role in an enterprise environment.
- Strong applied knowledge in:
- Enterprise virtualization environments - VMware
- Public Cloud - AWS
- Enterprise NAS/SAN Storage: iSCSI, NFS, CIFS
- Centralized Monitoring and Logging
- Networking: DHCP/DNS, subnetting, VLANs, Load Balancing
- Authentication/Authorization (LDAP, Kerberos, SSO)
- Python development
- Linux and Shell scripting
- SQL and NoSQL databases
- Software Development: git, CI/CD (Jenkins, Airflow), APIs
- Security best practices
- Linux: system, user/key management, SSH, file systems, LVM
- Automation / Orchestration (Puppet, Ansible, Terraform)

- Industry certification for core discipline: RHCE, Linux+, NCDA, VCP, etc.

What You Can Expect
- Compensation: The base salary for this position ranges from $115,000- $155,000 annually, depending on your location, experience, and qualifications. Additional compensation offerings include company profit-sharing bonus program, communication stipends, and referral bonuses.
